Candidates can register for admission by submitting completed applications along with the fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/ PwD candidates) through challan at any SBI branch. Admission to the above programmes is done on the basis of qualifying degree merit as well as marks secured by the candidate in the entrance test and interview, conducted by the university.

Qualification proof for above mentioned National level entrance tests, in case of candidates exempted from Ph.D. entrance test
Candidate must possess Post-Graduation in J&MC from a recognized University /any other Institution recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Ph.D. in Journalism & Mass Communication
Candidate must possess Post-Graduation/M.Phil. In J&MC from a recognized University /any other Institution recognized as equivalent thereto with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).
Admission to the above research programmes will be done on the basis of entrance examination (50%), qualifying degree (20%) marks and interview (30%).
However, candidates who have already qualified for CSIR/UGC-JRF/NET, SLET/SET, ICAR/ICMR, awardees of Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF), Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF), National Fellowship for OBC, Basic Science Research Fellowship, Inspire Fellowship, National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) Fellowship or similar National Fellowships are exempted from entrance test and will be selected solely on the basis of interview.
Candidates with the M.Phil. Degree in the same programme are also not required to appear in the written test for the Ph.D. Programme.
