Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) UG Admissions 2020: Courses, Eligibility, Fees

Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) is a deemed-to-be University founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba. The university is based on the gurukul system of ancient India wherein education is provided free from kindergarten to post-graduation. The Sri Sathya Sai University in Prashanthi Nilayam was the only college in India in the past to have received an "A++" rating by the NAAC.

SSSIHL provides free education to students in all programmes of study. This includes waiver of all fees- tuition, examinations, laboratory, library, sports and medical. The university hosts over 1300 undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programme students across four campuses. It requires the students to be compulsorily resident at the hostel during the entire period of study. Therefore, only single (bachelor / maiden) students will be admitted. The Institute invites applications for admission to the undergraduate programmes for the academic year. The programmes are for a duration of three years. The application can be availed both online and in person and must be submitted before the last date.

How To Apply

You can access the Application Form in the following two modes:

  • Online: You can get it via the online application portal on the website
  • Postal/In Person: You can get a paper application form posted to you by the University, or obtain it yours.

For Online Application:

You should log on to the Institute’s website.

You should then click on the link for online application, and you will be guided step-by-step on how to fill in the form.

You must have an email id to log-in. You should then fill the Form with the required personal and educational details.

You should then submit the Application Form. Once completed, you will be able to view the filled-in application form in PDF format and save it on your computer.

You should take a print out of the Application Form.

For Paper Application (By Hand):

You must send a written request comprising of a Requisition Letter indicating the Programme you would like to apply for and a Demand Draft or Indian Postal Order of Rs. 100 drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi. You must mention your name and complete postal address at the back of the Demand Draft.

You should then fill the Application Form with the required personal and education details. You must also affix a recent passport size photograph.

For both the Modes of Submission:-

Enclosures: You should attach the following documents with your Application form:

  • Two additional passport size photographs (with name and Application number on the reverse of the photograph)
  • Attested copies of Class 10th and 12th Certificates
  • Self-attested copies of Class 12th marksheet
  • Self-attested copies of Degree Certificate and marksheet

You should then staple the filled application form with all supporting materials. Then, seal them in an A4-sized envelope.

If you have chosen to pay online, you should print and attach a copy of the electronic receipt. Otherwise, send an Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Demand Draft (DD) for Rs.100/- per application. The Bank draft should be drawn in favour of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, payable at SBI, Prasanthi Nilayam/Puttaparthi.

You must then send the duly signed Application Form along with the required documents to the following address:-

For all courses:

You should have either passed or appeared for the final examination at the 10+2 level from a recognized board (CBSE or equivalent). You should have also secured a minimum of 55% marks or more in English and 60% marks in aggregate including English.

However, the B.Sc. (Food and Nutritional Sciences) Programme is limited to Women candidates only, and the B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics/Economy/Statistics and Integrated MCA Programme are limited to Male candidates only. The rest of the courses are available to all.

Age: You should be below 19 years as of 31st May.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Programme

The reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Admission Process

For all courses:

You will be selected on the basis of an Admission Test. The admission test syllabus is based on 11th and 12th standard of CBSE. The question paper will be of Multiple Choice type. There will be proportionate negative marking.

For B.Ed. Programme:

The test will consist of 2 papers. The first paper will be based on General English and Aptitude Test.

Paper 1: This will consist of two sub-tests of 80 minutes duration and for 65 marks. The General English will be for 30 marks to be completed in 40 minutes. The Situation Analysis part is for 35 marks to be completed in 40 minutes.  

Paper 2: This test will consist of two papers on the core subjects studied in the qualifying degree. The test will be of 100 minutes duration and for 100 marks (50+50).

Hi Supriya, this course is not available in the institute. However, you may check other Colleges Offering B.Sc Nursing from here.
