Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) offers various Postgraduate programmes including Master of Science (M.Sc.) Programme, Master of Technology (M.Tech.) Programme and Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme. However, M.Sc. Home Science Programme is only for women.

How To Apply

  1.  Download the Application Form from the website of the University.
  2. Take a print out of the Application Form and fill it with the required personal and educational details in your own handwriting.
  3. Select the course you are applying for and strike off the courses which are not applicable.
  4. Affix a recent coloured passport size photograph in the space provided.

Application Fee: Pay the registration fee in the form of Demand Draft for Rs.800 for General and Rs. 400 for SC, ST, and PH. The Demand Draft should be from SBH / SBI / ANDHRA BANK and drawn in favour of Comptroller, Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, payable at Hyderabad.

Enclosures: You should attach the following along with the application form:

  • Two self-addressed (with PIN code) envelops affixing postage stamps of Rs.5 on each.
  • Memorandum of marks (all years) obtained at the qualifying (B.Sc. level) examination or transcript
  • Provisional/degree certificate of the qualifying examination
  • Study Certificates / Residence Certificate
  • Caste Certificate
  • Date of Birth certificate

  • In M.B.A. (Agribusiness Management) course 10% (5 Seats) are reserved for NRIs / Industry Sponsored Candidates. 5% of the seats shall be provided to NRIs / and 5% to Industry sponsored candidates.

Admission Process

For M.Sc. (Agriculture) / M.Sc. (Home Science) / M.Tech (Ag. Engineering):

  1. The selection shall be based on the previous academic record at Under Graduate level and performance in Entrance Test and the weightage would be in the ratio of 30:70.
  2. The Entrance Test shall be of 2 hours duration with objective type questions in English and answers must be written in English.
  3. The qualifying marks in Entrance Test shall be 50% marks which will be relaxed for SC/ST category to the extent of seats reserved for them.

There will be extra weightage as indicated below given subject to a maximum of 5 marks if you produce certificates for achievements in NCC / NSS / Sports / Games / Cultural / Literary activities at B.Sc. level:

  • International level - 3 marks
  • Inter State Level - 2 marks
  • Inter University Level - 1 mark
