Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU) was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh under an Act in 2005. SVVU is recognized by UGC. It is located at the foothills of Lord Venkateswara at Tirupati. It was started in 1955 to strengthen education research and services in the fields of Veterinary Science, Dairy Technology and Fishery Science in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The establishment of three Veterinary Colleges paved the way for strengthening Veterinary education in the State.
The University invites applications for admission to the Undergraduate programmes including Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & AH) and Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.) for the academic year. These programmes are available at all the 5 Colleges of Veterinary Sciences and the College of Fisheries Sciences respectively.

The Application has to be submitted through online mode only.
You should visit the website of AP EAMCET to fill in the Application Form.
You should fill the Application Form with the required personal and educational details.
Application Fee: This is the first step of the Registration Process. You should pay Rs.350 as Registration Fee and late fee (if applicable) by opting any of the following two modes of payment: (a) AP ONLINE (b) Debit / Credit Card.
After filling the Online Application Form with the required details, you must verify all the details carefully and then press the “Submit” button.
Subsequently, the filled in Online Application Form will be generated which contains Registration Number along with your filled in details.
Your Registration process is now complete.
You should then take a printout of Filled in Online Application Form. You will have to submit this to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent colour passport size photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College from where you have passed your qualifying examination.
You should save and use the Registration Number for future correspondence.
For both programmes:-
You should have passed the Intermediate Examination of 10+2 format conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Board of Intermediate Education with either of the following subjects:
Biological or Natural Science
You must also have passed in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and obtained 50% marks for general category and 40% marks for SC/ST/PH category, in aggregate of these subjects at the qualifying examination
Age: You should be at least 17 years of age, and not more than 22 years in case of general category, 25 years in case of SC/ST category and 27 years in case of Physically Disabled category.
The statutory reservations will be applicable to the candidates of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward classes belonging to the State of Andhra Pradesh only.
Admission to 85% of the seats shall be reserved in favour of the local candidates in relation to S.V University region comprising the districts of Anantapur, Kurnool, Chittoor, Cuddapah and Nellore in the following distribution:
There shall be 3% reservation (horizontal basis) for differently-abled (PH) with locomotive disability of lower limbs between 50% - 70%.
33.33% of seats are guaranteed for women candidates in each category i.e. open competition, SC, ST, BC and other reservations.
For both courses:-
You will be selected on the basis of AP EAMCET (Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test).
The paper consists of a total of 160 questions in the multiple choice question format. It is for a duration of 3 hours. It involves 80 questions on Mathematics, 40 questions each in Physics and Chemistry. You are required to answer all questions. Each correct answer is awarded with one mark and there is no negative marking for an incorrect answer. The syllabus will be based on the 10+2 qualifying examination syllabus. The detailed syllabus is given on the EAMCET website.
The medium for the exam will be English and Telugu. However, if you have studied the qualifying examination in Urdu medium and wish to avail assistance for translating the questions into Urdu, it will be allotted a Test Centre at Kurnool only.
You should be able to secure a minimum of 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking to qualify the AP EAMCET. However, you will not require any minimum qualifying marks if you belong to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe category.
