JNTU Kakinada M.Tech, MBA and MCA Admissions 2020: Eligibility, Entrance Exam, Result

Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU, Kakinada) offers various postgraduate courses i.e. M.Tech., MBA, MCA. There is a different criterion for getting admission in any post graduate course. An aggregate of 50% marks is required in a relevant bachelor degree to get admitted in the courses. The duration of the MBA and M.Tech program is 2 years. 

Application to M.Tech program can be filled via GATE (For Non-sponsored candidates). A university entrance test is conducted for sponsored and self-supporting candidates. However, the candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of personal interview. Applicants seeking admission to MBA should have a valid score in APICET entrance exam.

    How To Apply

    Applicants can submit the form through offline mode only. Following are the steps to apply offline:

    1. Send a written letter to the admission office to get the application form.
    2. Fill the application form correctly with all the relevant details, enclose a recent passport size photograph.
    3. Send a DD of INR 500/- in favour of “The Director of Admission, JNT university” along with the application form to the address of correspondence.

    Admission Process

    Selection will be on the basis of GATE exam that is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science. GATE examination will be held for the non-sponsored candidates. And the APICET exam which is conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on behalf of APSCHE is for the sponsored and self-supporting candidates.

    Candidates interested in applying for SSS M- Tech program will have to pass the university entrance test and interview which is conducted by JNTUK.

    • Students seeking admission in any branch of M.Tech. must qualify either GATE or APICET exam.
    • Students seeking to take admission in MCA or MBA must qualify the APICET exam.

    Candidates seeking admission in any postgraduate courses which are being offered by JNTUK are selected after clearing the entrance exam and counselling.

    Course Fees Structure

    Fee Structure:

    1. A registration fee of Rs. 500 is to be paid in the form of crossed DD in favour of “The Registrar, JNT University Kakinada “ which will be payable at Kakinada.
    2. Along with the registration fee, tuition fee of Rs. 24,500 per semester is to be paid for admission in M.Tech. Programme. This payment will also be in a DD form and payable to the same as above. General fee structure for admission in M.Tech. program for students under government quota is approximately 28,000 INT per annum and for students under management quota is approximately 50,000 INR per annum.
    3. In case of MBA/MCA, students holding a government quota will have to pay approximately 30,000 INR per annum and the students holding a Management quota will have to pay approximately 74,000 INR per annum.
