Doctor Harisingh Gour University invites candidates for admissions in their Post Graduate (PG) Courses Admission Programme, 2020 under the PGET criteria, 2020. The admission process will be carried out on merit basis, based on the qualifying marks achieved by the candidates pursuing their preferable courses. DHSGU provides seat reservation for reserved categories under the Govt. of India guidelines. Interested candidates may fill the online application form within the due date to sit for the entrance examinations.
All candidates have to visit the University website and choose the prescribed option for ’Application for Admission/Entrance Test 2020-21. A new window with will open.
Candidates have to select the “Online Admission Form” for filling up of the application form.
All the details regarding preferable course along with other personal details shall be filled up by the candidate. The information must be complete and valid. Contact details must be carefully filled so as to receive the confirmation SMS/email.

Candidates have to attach their Passport Size Photo and signature image.

After successful completion of application form, candidates may proceed with the payment options for registration.

Maximum 27 years & 32 years for General/OBC and SC/ST/PC categories respectively for M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.B.A./M.Pharm./M.Tech (Applied Geology)/ M.C.A./ MPA (Performing Arts) courses.
Maximum 35 years for M.J./M.L.I.Sc./ M.Ed.,/LL.M courses.
Candidates under General/ OBC category who wish to seek admission in M.Sc. / M.A. / M.Com./ M.B.A. / M.J. / MSW / M. Performing Arts (Theatre Arts) : course must have cleared 10+2+3 or equivalent examinations with a minimum aggregate of 45% from any recognized institution.
Candidates seeking admission in M.Tech. (Appl. Geology) course must have graduated with Geology subject (10+2+3) with a minimum aggregate of 45% in the qualifying examinations from any recognized institution.
Candidates seeking admissions in M. Pharm. Course should be graduated with a degree in B.Pharma course scoring at least 60% marks in the qualifying examinations along with valid GPAT.
Candidates seeking admissions in M.C.A. must be graduated in any subject with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2. Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in their qualifying examinations from any approved and recognized university.
For admissions in LL.M course, candidates must be graduated in LL.B. (3-Years) (10+2+3 pattern) or 5 years LL.B.(10+2+5 pattern) with a minimum score of 50% in the qualifying examinations. Similarly for M.L.I.Sc. Course, candidates must be graduated in B.L.I.Sc course with at least 50% aggregate in qualifying exams.
For admissions in M. Ed. Course, candidates should be graduated with at least 50% marks in any of the B.Ed./B.A.-B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed./B.L.Ed./D.L.Ed course.
As per the guidelines from the Govt. of India, seats for SC,ST,OBC-NIL and PC categories will be reserved.
Candidates belonging to the reserved categories will compete for seats reserved as follows;-
OBC (NCL) - 27%, SC-15%, ST-7.5%.
3% seats are reserved within each of the categories (General, ST, SC and OBC) for Physically Challenged (PC) candidates.
The University has granted 5% seat reservation for Widows/wards/wives of the Armed Forces Personnel and Ex-Servicemen.
Foreign students may be granted direct admission in the preferred courses under the DASA scheme and after the results of medical tests that have to be conducted for all foreign students.

Selection of candidates for counselling will be conducted purely on merit basis, i.e. marks obtained in the entrance test. All candidates must reach up to the minimum qualifying marks of his/her category in order to fulfill the qualification criteria.
The counselling and admission process will commence soon after the declaration of the entrance exam results. Counselling of certain courses that have professional/technical nature will be conducted online.
The counselling process will involve spot allocation of seat & subject combination as per the seats available in that subject group combination that will be done keeping in mind the merit criteria.
Candidates must appear as person at the time of counselling along with all the required testimonies and original documents for verification purposes. Documents for verification include High School Marks-sheet and Certificate of Age, Income, Caste, Intermediate (+2) or equivalent Mark sheet and Certificate (if issued), 10+2+3 marks-sheet & degree Certificate of Reservation, Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate (if issued by the Board) and Admit card of respective Entrance Test.
Duration: 120 minutes
The University will conduct a single entrance test for all the undergraduate courses.
The question paper will carry a total of 200 marks, including a set of 100 multiple choice questions (MCQs). The questions will be of 10+2 level.
There will be no negative marking in the entrance test. Unmarked or multiple answered questions will be considered incorrect.
The questions will be of Graduation level (10+2+3) of the concerned subject. In case the syllabus is not given, the syllabus model of the University will be given.
Candidates must produce all the original documents before the counselling committee for verification within the specified time. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of admission for that candidate.
All candidates must carry their admit cards at the time of entrance test for identification. No candidate shall be allowed to sit for the exam without their admit card.
No gadgets of any kind are allowed inside the examination halls.
