Netaji Subhas Open University (NSOU) B.Spl.Ed. Admissions 2019: Eligibility, Dates, Result

Netaji Subhas Open University offers B.Ed.Spl.Ed. program in the following 3 disciplines, i.e. Intellectual Disability (I.D.), Hearing Impairment (H.I.) and Visual Impairment (V.I). Intake in this program is 500 (distributed among 11 study centers approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi). The minimum duration of B.Ed.Spl.Ed. is two years and six months (Five Semesters).

For admission to B.Ed.Spl.Ed. by NSOU Applicants should have at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree or in the Master’s Degree. Admission in this program will be on the basis of Academic Merit only. Candidates can register themselves online by submitting the entrance test fee of amount INR 500/-. Relaxation of marks for the Reserve Category candidates is admissible as per the rules of Government of West Bengal. For more, check NSOU Admission 2019.

Eligibility

The following are the eligibility criteria for B. Ed. Special Education program:

Special EducationIntellectual Disability50% marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree (2 years) in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities, 4 years Bachelor’s or 3 years Second Degree Bachelor’s Programme in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or equivalent.

How To Apply

Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] (Special Education)

  1. The application form is available on the website i.e “www.examfeedback.net/nsou/nsou.aspx”.
  2. Fill in your personal and academic details.
  3. Upload the scanned copy of documents, recent passport size photo, and signature.
  4. Pay the fee i.e. INR 500/- through Allahabad Bank Draft (drawn in favor of Netaji Subhas Open University payable at Kolkata).
  5. Click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  6. Applicants are advised to carry a photocopy of his/her computer-generated admission form signed and stamped by the person attending him/her in the Study Centre.

  • Copy of downloaded Application Form as submitted. 
  • 10th, 12th and graduation mark sheet.
  • Caste Certificate
  • Proof of Special Weightage claim.
  • University Copy of the Bank Challan


Admission Process

Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] (Special Education)

  • A maximum weightage of 10%, 20%, 30%, and 30% will be given to the marks obtained at 10th, 12th, graduation, and Post- Graduation level respectively.
  • Special Weightage of 10% will be given to the candidates fulfilling any one of the following conditions:
    1. Parent of a child with disability possessing Disability Certificate of the child issued by the Competent Authority.
    2. Person with disability possessing Disability Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
    3. Possession of RCI approved Diploma/ Degree.
  • The University shall prepare a Provisional Merit list.
  • Admission will be through the Central Counselling process by the University.
  • Candidates will have to appear for Counselling as per schedule.
  • Allotment will be made strictly in order of merit and the availability of Seats.
