North Bengal University B.Ed. Admissions 2019: Courses, Result, Fees

North Bengal University is a UGC Recognized, AICTE Approved public university which was established in 1962. The university has 23 departments imparting professional / non-professional education, research and training to many students every year.  

North Bengal University offers the following programme through the faculty of education to its students every year:

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

Only candidates with the relevant qualification can register for the above mentioned programmes. Admission to the above programmes will be done directly on the basis of the merit of the candidates in the qualifying degree.

Candidates can register for admission by filling-in and submitting the prescribed application form along with the required processing fee of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST candidates).

  • Candidate must possess bachelor’s degree or master’s degree from this university or any other recognized university with at least 50% marks (for general candidates) and 45% marks (for SC/ST candidates with disabilities).
  • Candidates age should not be more than 35 years on July 1.

How To Apply


  • Candidates can register themselves for admission to B.Ed. programme through the official university website. Upon clicking the “Apply Online” link on the website, candidates will be asked to register themselves by signing up with their personal details
  • After that, candidate must upload the scanned copy of his/her photograph and signature. Subsequently, students should fill the academic details and submit the required processing fee to complete the registration process
  • Candidates can register themselves to the B.Ed. programme by submitting the fee amount of Rs. 500/- and Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST candidates)
  • Candidate can submit the fees through the online payment modes such as net banking, credit card and ATM cum debit card or by challan at the University Cash Counter in the Administrative Building of the University of North Bengal

Admission Process


Selection of the candidates to the B.Ed. programme will be done directly on the basis of qualifying degree merit.


Seats will be strictly reserved for the candidates as per government order.

Hi Dikcha, students who have scored at least 50% in their UG or PG are eligible to apply for admission to this course. Thus, you are eligible.

Hi Reema, students who have scored 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) in post graduation are only eligible to apply. Thus, if you belong to reserved category, then only you will be eligible, else not.

Hi Sarala, yes, you are eligible for admission in the university as for reserved candidates, eligibility criteria is 45% in graduation degree.

Hi Manisha, no, there is no entrance exam being conducted by the university for admission in B.Ed. Final selection will be done on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.
