North Bengal University B.Ed. Admissions 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Dates

North Bengal University imparts professional/non-professional education, research and training programs. The Faculty of Education of North Bengal University offers the 2-years years full time B.Ed program.  Fresher candidates with 50% marks (General)/ 45% (SC/ST category) in either bachelor’s or Masters level can apply for admission. Duputed candidates holding an MC/ GB permission are eligible for admission. Admission to the eligible candidates will be granted on the basis of merit. 

Aspirants can register for admission by filling-in and submitting the prescribed application form online.  The required processing fee of INR 600 (General Candidates)/ INR 300 (SC/ST Candidates) is to be paid via E-challan. Check North Bengal University Admission 2020.

How To Apply

  • Visit North Bengal Official University.
  • Clicking the “Apply Online” link on the website.
  • Register by providing a valid email and mobile number.
  • Provide the correct name and other details.
  • Upload scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 600(General) / INR 300 (SC/ST Candidates) using E-Challan.

Eligibility

Courses of Pedagogy: 

  1. Bengali
  2. English
  3. History
  4. Physical Science
  5. Life Science
  6. Geography
  7. Mathematics

Fresher candidates with at least 50% Marks (General Category)/ 45% marks (SC/ST candidates)  at Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree from this university or any other recognized university are eligible to apply for B.Ed at North Bengal University.

Deputed candidates having an experience of at least 2 years in govt., govt. aided institution are eligible for application, however, they must have to produce original MC/GB permission at the time of counselling.

Reservation

Admission Process

Selection of the candidates to the B.Ed. program will be done directly on the basis of qualifying degree merit. The merit list will be published by a Notice from North Bengal University and selected candidates will be called for counselling and document verification.

Documents required at the time of counselling

  1. Self Attested copy of print out of the application.
  2. bank Reciept/ Challan.
  3. All original documents in support of the claims made or information submitted in the application.
  4. M.C/ G B Permission (For Deputed candidates).

Final dates for online registration has not been announced yet by the official website of the university. However, we can expect the admission process to start in May, next year.

Hi Kusum, yes, you are eligible for this course as candidates scoring more than 50% in their graduation degree are considered eligible for this course.

Hi Dikcha, students who have scored at least 50% in their UG or PG are eligible to apply for admission to this course. Thus, you are eligible.

Hi Reema, students who have scored 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) in post graduation are only eligible to apply. Thus, if you belong to reserved category, then only you will be eligible, else not.

Hi Sarala, yes, you are eligible for admission in the university as for reserved candidates, eligibility criteria is 45% in graduation degree.

Hi Manisha, no, there is no entrance exam being conducted by the university for admission in B.Ed. Final selection will be done on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.
