North Bengal University M.A. and M.Sc. Admissions 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Dates

North Bengal University has 23 departments imparting professional/ non-professional education, research and training courses. At the postgraduate level, the university offers M.A in 13 disciplines and M.Sc in 10 disciplines. M.A and M.Sc are full-time programs spanning a duration of 2 years. 

Candidates possessing an Honors Bachelor degree in the relevant specialization are eligible for admission. However, Admission to both the courses will be granted on the basis of the merit of the in the qualifying degree as per the merit list published by North Bengal University.

To successfully complete the application process applicant is required to register and pay the application fee of INR 600(General Category)/ INR 300(SC/ST category) via Credit/Debit card or Net Banking. Check North Bengal University Admission 2020.

M.Sc & MA

  • Visit North Bengal Official University.
  • Clicking the “Apply Online” link on the website.
  • Register by providing a valid email and mobile number.
  • Provide the correct name and other details.
  • Upload scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 600(General) / INR 300 (SC/ST Candidates) using Credit/ Debit card or Net banking.

Note: Applicants are required to provide correct information at the time of application. If the information is found to be incorrect while verification, candidature of the applicant will be disqualified.


Admission Process

M.Sc & MA

Selection of the candidates to the various specializations offered in M.A and M.Sc programs will be done directly on the basis of qualifying degree merit. The merit list will be published by a Notice from North Bengal University and selected candidates will be called for counselling and document verification.

Documents required at the time of counselling

  1. Self Attested copy of print out of the application.
  2. bank Reciept/ Challan.
  3. All original documents in support of the claims made or information submitted in the application.
  4. M.C/ G B Permission (For Deputed candidates).

Hi Ema, The university offers Microbiology under which it also focuses on Molecular Plant Pathology. Apart from that, Molecular Biology is taught under the discipline of Biotechnology.
