PES University (PESU) is a university in Bangalore managed by the People’s Education Society (PES). It has four main educational areas: Engineering, Medicine, Management and Life Sciences. PES University was ranked number 7th in the 'Most Trusted Educational Institute' by brand analytics and insights company TRA.

PES University invites applications to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic year. The admission to the courses is through the PESSAT (PES University Scholastic Aptitude Test) which will be conducted in May for B.Tech. course. The test is conducted online at an all-India level. You should have a BE or B.Tech. degree in the relevant field as per the course you are applying for.


You should have either of the following qualifications:

  • BE/B.Tech./Design degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
  • You should have passed the 5 year B.Arch. degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.


You should have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognised University.

How To Apply

You can download the Application Form online from the website.

Step 1: You need to fill in the details asked in the registration page about the choice of course, and other personal details.

Step 2: Enter the details of the qualifying exam and select the test centre preferences. After this, click the “submit” tab.

Step 3: Upload your recent passport size photograph of 150 x 150 pixels dimensions which should be less than 80 kb in either .jpg or .gif forms.

Step 4: Make payment for the PESSAT Application fees of Rs. 975 through any of the following modes:

  • Online payment (Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking)
  • Challan (By cash payment at ICICI bank branches)
  • Demand Draft in favour of “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore

Admission Process

BE/B.Tech , ME/M.Tech & BBA/BBM

You will be selected on the basis of the rank obtained in the PESSAT (PES University Scholastic Aptitude Test).

The test is conducted online on an All-India level. It will be of a duration of 3 hours. It will contain two sections. Section 1 will have questions from Mathematics (60 questions), Physics (60 questions) and Chemistry (40 questions) based on class 11th and 12th CBSE standard. Section 2 will consist of 20 questions from English Grammar. There is no negative marking.

For B.Tech. Programme: PESSAT for engineering admissions will be conducted at various test centres located all over the country.

For other courses: You will be selected on the basis of your score in the PESSAT exam as well your performance in the Personal Interview. The test will be conducted only at PES University campus in Bangalore.
