Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) is a private university located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. School of Law, NMIMS is the first “School of Law” in the state of Maharashtra to have the Bar Council of India’s approval for the 5 years integrated Double Degree Honour’s Programme, i.e., B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) and B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons.), since 2013-14.

It is also the first “School of Law” (SOL) in India that shall provide (Hons.) Specialization in Corporate Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, and Taxation Laws. It follows the Trimester based terms.

The University invites applications for admission to the Integrated B.A. LL.B and BBA LL.B Programmes for the academic year. The seats available for both the programs are 60 each. The admission for the courses is based on the score obtained in the Common Law Entrance Test (CLAT) to be held in May

For both the courses:

  • One must have passed 10 + 2 or equivalent exams in any stream from a recognized Board at the first attempt and obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • If one is from an International School, one will have to submit an AIU certificate of equivalence to confirm his/her eligibility for the program as equivalent to (10+2) examination/s.
  • In case the candidate has obtained 10+2 or equivalent through institutes recognized by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), s/he is eligible for admission.
  • But if one has obtained 10+2 qualification through the Open University system without having any prior qualification for pursuing the same is not eligible for admission.

Age: You should be less than 25 years of age.

Admission Process

Selection will be done according to the merit list prepared on the basis of the CLAT or LSAT score and the program/campus preference given by the candidate.

The merit list will be released on the university’s website. 

The decision of the institute will be final and binding. Candidate’s documents will be verified at the time of admission (if selected) & if found not eligible, admission will be canceled and fees will be forfeited.

NOTE: The candidates must produce the original hardcopy of the documents at the time of admission.

How To Apply

To register for CLAT

Step 1: The candidate must register on the CLAT official website.

Step 2: Proceed to fill in the personal, academics and other details as mentioned in the form.

Step 3: Upload a recent passport size photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) and signature of JPG format within 100kb of size.

Step 4: CLAT Application fees Applicants are required to make the payment of application form fees of INR. 4000/- for General Category and INR. 3500/- for Reserved Category online through Debit/Credit Card.

Step 5: You should then finally “Submit” your Application Form online only. This completes your registration process.

For Admission to NMIMS

  • The candidate must register online through the university’s official website.
  • Fill in the required personal and education details.
  • Select the course and the campus.
  • Review the information filled.
  • Verify the marks mentioned.
  • Complete the form and click on the “Submit” button.
  • One will be re-directed to the payment gateway.

Application Fee: Pay a registration fee of INR. 1200/- (non-refundable) via Credit/Debit Card.

NOTE: The preferences once given in online registration cannot be changed later. Candidates must update their 12th standard marks & CLAT orLSAT Score in the online application form on or before the last date of registration. No score will be accepted after the closure of registration.


The reservation criteria will be as per the norms prescribed by the Government of India.
