Kakatiya University (KU) PG Admissions 2020: Eligibility, Application form, Selection Process

Kakatiya University, Warangal (Telangana) offer admission to 9 faculties of Post Graduation (PG) degree. Graduation degree holder in relevant subjects can apply for admission.

Selection will be based on Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET). A state level Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (CPGET)  are being conducted by Osmania University for admissions into various P.G courses offered by Kakatiya University.

Application form can be filled online through the official website of Common Post Graduate Entrance Tests (http://tscpget.com/CPGET/CPGET). Application fee of INR 800/-(INR 600/- for SC/ST category) should be paid through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card. Fee for additional subjects will be INR 400/- for all categories.

Master of Arts (MA)

Graduation degree in relevant subjects. Minimum 40% marks (passing marks for SCs/STs) secured in qualifying exam

Master of Science (M.Sc)Graduation degree in relevant subjects. Minimum 40% marks (passing marks for SCs/STs) secured in qualifying exam
Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM)Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or its equivalent exam.
Master of Tourism Management (MTM)

Bachelor Degree in Tourism management.

Atleast 50% marks must be secured in qualifying examination.

Master of Social Work (MSW)Bachelor Degree in Social Work with minimum 50%marks secured in final examination
Master of Mass Communication & Journalism (MCJ)

Graduation degree in  Bachelor of Journalism and Communication. Minimum score secured should be 40% marks in aggregate

Master of Commerce (M.Com.)

B.Com degree in any stream. Must have secured minimum 40% marks in aggregate.

Master of Education (M.Ed.)Passed B.Ed degree from any Recognised University.


How To Apply

Application form should be filled online

  • Visit: http://tscpget.com/CPGET/CPGET
  • Click “Application Fee Payment”
  • Enter Name and Date of Birth
  • Tap on “Proceed” option
  • Pay application fee of INR 800/- (general category) and INR 600/- (SCs/STs) through Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card
  • Additional subject choice fee of INR 400/-(Every category) should be paid through the same way
  • Check payment status
  • Proceed with filling application form
  • Type required personal details and address
  • Enter all academic details
  • Add preference for test centre
  • Upload scanned photograph and signature
  • Tap on “Preview/Submit”
  • Cross check all entered details properly
  • Click on “Freeze”
  • Application will get submitted
  • Print application form for future references


Admission Process

MA , M.Ed & M.Sc

Admission to Post Graduation programme in Kakatiya University will be based on marks secured in CPGET.

  • CPGET is an Aptitude Test for the applicants who wants to have admission in PG
  • Merit list of qualified candidates will be issued 
  • Qualified candidates will be invited for Admission and Document verification via Email/SMS
  • Document verfication and payment of programme fee will confirm admission
  • Original documents will be mandatory

  • 85% of the total available seats are reserved in favour of  the Local Candidates in relation to the Local area.
  • Remaining 15% seats will be filled by local and non-local candidates.

Note:

  • 5% of the supernumerary seats in each course are available to students from outside State of Telangana
  • 15% of the Supernumerary seats are also available to foreign students in each course without Entrance Test
  • In case of insufficient number of candidates of any particular group of Backward Classes categories to fill seats reserved for that group,  such seats may be filled up by eligible candidates from other groups in the alphabetical order. For Example; If an eligible candidate of Backward Class-A is not available, that seat may be filled by a candidate of Backward Class-B and so forth
