University of Mysore offers multiple programs in the field of Arts, Humanities, Pure & Applied Sciences and professional disciplines. 

Directorate of Distance Education, University of Mysore offers admission to the following UG and PG programs in distance education mode in which candidates with the relevant qualifying degree (pass in 10+2 for UG programs and graduation degree for PG programs) can register.

Admission Process

Admissions to all the UG ,PG distance program is directly on the basis of qualifying degree examination.

How To Apply

Candidates can submit the application form in person or by post, check the procedure given below to know more: 

In Person

  1. The eligible candidates can download the application form at and the filled in application along with a DD of Rs. 400/- drawn in favor of Finance Officer, University of Mysore, Mysuru shall be submitted to the Office of the Director, Directorate of Distance Education, National Centre for History of Science Building, Manasagangothri, Mysuru– 570006.
  2. The application should be enclosed with the self attested copies of the relevant documents.
  3. At the time of application submission,  produce all original documents for verification.
  4. The candidates found to be eligible can get admitted by paying the prescribed fee to the general revenue account number 54007591471 before the deadline.

By Post

  1. The candidates who wish to submit an application through postal services have to send the duly filled application form along with self attested copies of all relevant documents and a DD of Rs. 400/- .
  2. These candidates are provisionally admitted and have to produce the original copies of the documents during period of contact programs. Otherwise, their provisional admission is liable to be forfeited.

Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ ST category, who seek admission under fee concession scheme must submit the necessary documentary evidence.
