Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (UBKV) B.Sc Admission 2020: Courses, Merit List, Fees

Uttar Banga Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (UBKV) is a public agricultural university located at Pundibari, West Bengal. The university was established in February 1, 2001 and is affiliated to UGC, AICTE and ICAR. The university has five faculties namely Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry which offer selected undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

UBKV offers Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in the following two disciplines:

  • B.Sc (Agriculture) – (4 years)
  • B.Sc (Horticulture) – (4 years)

Candidates having passed relevant qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 from a recognized board of education are eligible to apply for admission to B.Sc programme. Students will be admitted to the course based on rank in the merit list. Interested students can register through the online application process by filling and submitting the forms along with the required fee.

How To Apply

  • Candidates can register themselves for admission to the programme by filling and submitting the online application form only through the official university website. Forms will not be issued from the university counter.
  • Along with completed application, candidates must submit the fee amount of Rs. 500/- (for general & OBC candidates) and Rs. 125/- (for SC/ST/PWD category candidates). Fee can be paid through online modes such as Debit/ Credit Card and net banking facility or offline mode of payment i.e. bank challan.

Note: SC/ST/OBC candidates outside from West Bengal will be treated under General category

Candidates must submit the application form along with scanned copy of the following documents:

  1. Passport size photograph
  2. Signature of candidate
  3. Self attested Higher secondary mark sheet

At the time of counselling, candidates must submit original copies of following documents:

  1. Mark sheets of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations
  2. Admit card / Certificate of Madhyamik Examination
  3. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PWD certificate (if applicable)
  4. Character certificate issued from the Head of the institution from where he/she has passed last examination
  5. Residential certificate from competent authority
  6. Four copy of pass port size photo of applicant.

Eligibility

  • Candidates must have passed higher secondary or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology /Agriculture / Horticulture or Vocational Agriculture / Horticulture with above combination as elective subjects from this university or any other recognized university.
  • Candidate should have scored at least 60% aggregate of marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in his/her 10+2 qualifying examination
  • Candidates from vocational stream must secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in the Higher Secondary examination.
  • Candidate must have attained 16 years of age or above.

Admission Process

Selection of the candidate to the B.Sc courses will be done on the basis of rank in the merit list.

Hi Yaduvansh, admission to this course will be done on the basis of marks scored in intermediate only. Candidates can apply for admission only through online mode.

Hi Aabha, the last date of admission in B.Sc (Agriculture) is 6 June 2019 (tentatively).
