Post Graduate Diploma in Management [PGDM]

PGP-PGDM is a two-year full-time residential program. This course involves a mandatory credit-based curriculum & a non-credit based mandatory summer internship. Criteria for shortlisting & final selection for PGP-PGDM is discussed as:

  • Shortlisting criteria for Personal Interview (PI): Students will be selected on the basis of CAT  score and past academic performance.

STAGE 1: Includes the basic criteria to be considered for PI:

Candidates are required to obtain the minimum sectional cut off in order to score optimum marks.

CategoryQADILRVAAggregate
Open≥ 80≥ 80≥ 80≥ 90
NC-OBC≥ 75≥ 75≥ 75≥ 85
SC≥ 65≥ 65≥ 65≥ 70
ST≥ 60≥ 60≥ 60≥ 70
PWD≥ 60≥ 60≥ 60≥ 70

Candidates, who will score minimum desired marks in the above-mentioned sections, will only be shortlisted for further calculation of the composite score.

Note: Students must keep in mind that actual sectional marks may be much higher than the minimum marks listed above, as shortlisting for PI is done on the basis of the individual composite score.

Short-listing for PI and WAT process-

The composite score will be calculated on the basis of marks of class Xth, XIIth& gender diversity factor. Marks will be optimized on the basis of the rules given below:

Marks in Xth (%)Points to be consideredMarks in XIIth (%)Points to be considered
≥8010≥8010
≥ 75 and < 808≥ 75 and < 808
≥ 70 and < 756≥ 70 and < 756
≥ 65 and < 704≥ 65 and < 704
≥ 60 and < 652≥ 60 and < 652
< 600< 600

In order to compute the percentage of marks for the Xth & XIIth standard, authorities will consider all the subjects mentioned on the marks sheet issued by the board irrespective of whether the board has considered those subjects for percentage calculation or not.

The composite score will be used to shortlist the candidates for PI round. The below-listed table is presenting the idea to calculate corresponding category wise weightage.
