Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) UG Admissions 2019: Exam Dates, Hall Tickets, Results

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) Telangana is also known as Andhra Pradesh Open University which was established on August 26, 1982. The university is located in the city of Hyderabad with a wide network of 206 study centres.

The University offers various under graduate programs in different disciplines which further have various specializations. BRAOU invites applications for BA (in 4 disciplines), B.Com. and B.Sc. in which interested candidates can get admission by clearing the entrance test conducted by the university.

Along with these courses, the university also conducts admission for students interested in B.Ed., BHM and BPR. The registration fees for these courses is INR 400 and for BA, B.Com. and B.Sc., candidates need to pay a registration fee of INR 200. For admissions to B.Ed., BHM and BPR, the candidates need to clear the entrance test conducted by the university.

BRAOU Results 2019

BRAOU conducts the exams twice in a year i.e in the month of May and November each year. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University Results are published on the official website of the University and can be checked through the following procedure:

How to check BRAOU results?
1. Log on to the official website of BRAOU.
2. On the right side bar of the home page, click ‘Online Portal’ tab
3. Click on the ‘Exam Results’ Tab on the new web page.
4. Select your course from the drop-down menu and a new web page will open.
5. Enter your Hall Ticket Number and Year of Examination.
6. Click ‘Submit’ to view the result.

BRAOU UG Eligibility Criteria

B.Com , B.Sc & BA

Candidate must have 10+2 (Science Stream) or intermediate from a recognised board/council

Note:

  • Candidates interested in applying for the above mentioned courses should be 18 years of age at the time of admission.
  • For B.Sc. courses, candidates who have one year work experience in any Science & Technology Organisation can also apply.

B.Ed

Eligibility

The duration of B.Ed. program is 2 years and the eligibility is as follows:

  • Candidate must possess degree in BA/ B.Sc./ B.Com/ B.Sc. (Home Science) /BCA/BBM/BBA from this university or any other UGC recognized university with at least 50% marks.
  • Candidate who have secured minimum 55% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) in B.E/B.Tech. with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent are also eligible to apply for B.Ed.
  • Candidate appearing for final year examination can also apply.
  • Candidate must have minimum 2 years teaching experience or Temporary teacher in any Primary/ Middle/ High School recognised by State/ Central/ Government / Union Territory
  • Candidate should be an Indian citizen

Age limit eligibility

Candidate should have completed 21 years of age as on July 1 of the year of admission. No upper age limit.

Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] (Special Education)

Specializations under B.Ed. (Special Education) course (2½ years) are as follows:

  1. Visual Impairment
  2. Mental Retardation
  3. Hearing Impairment

All the 3 courses mentioned above have the following Eligibility criteria:

  • Candidate must be Indian citizen.
  • Candidate must possess Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Science/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce with at least 50% marks and 40% marks (for SC/ST/BC/PH category candidates).
  • Candidates appearing for qualifying examination can also apply

Age limit eligibility

Candidate should have completed 21 years of age as on July 1 of the year of admission. No upper age limit.


BRAOU UG Application Process

B.Com , B.Sc & B.Ed

  • Candidate can register online for eligibility test from university website “www.braouonline.in.”
  • After that candidate are required to select the examination centre where he/she wants to appear for eligibility test and collect the information brochure.
  • Candidate must fill the online registration form and upload his/her signature and photograph.
  • Candidates need to submit the registration fee of INR 200/- or INR 210 (for BA, B.Sc. and B.Com.) and INR 435/- (for BHM, B.Ed., BPR).
  • Candidate can pay the registration fee by Debit/Credit card or at any A.P On-line Franchisee Centres.
  • Candidate must click on Confirm Payment Button and the payment receipt will be generated.
  • Candidate must take the printout of registration form from the university website along with fee payment receipt.
  • Candidate are required to bring the following enclosures at the time of online registration in the eligibility test.

Enclosures

  1. Proof of Date of Birth
  2. Social Category (if applicable)
  3. School Transfer Certificate
  4. SSC certificate
  5. Affidavit certified by Notary
  6. NCTE recognised teacher education program
  7. Degree Provisional Certificate and Year wise Marks Memos
  8. Service certificate as on date of the admission counselling.
  9. Integrated Caste Certificate, if applicable
  10. Medical Board Certificate (for PH candidates)
  11. Transfer Certificate
  12. Migration Certificate.
  13. Intermediate / 10+2 certificate
  14. Study Certificates (IX to Degree) or Residence Certificate
  15.  Other certificates, if any.


BRAOU UG Admission Process

Bachelor of Education [B.Ed] , B.Com & B.Sc

Selection of candidates for B.Com., B.Sc. and B.Ed. programs is based on the marks scored in the Eligibility Test conducted by the university. The university prepares a merit list according to the result of the eligibility test. Students can check their BRAOU Admission Status by visiting the official website of the Univerity.

For admission into B.ed course, the eligibility criteria is the candidate must have two years experience in teaching. But, in school education, the head of the institute will not give a chance for untrained candidates. So, how to balance between this

Hi Jinukala, The eligibility for M.sc chemistry candidate should have Bachelor’s degree with Chemistry and Students will be selected on the basis of their marks in the qualifying exam.
