Jadavpur University in West Bengal, India offers the undergraduate courses of BA, B.Sc. and B.P.Ed. as its program. The BA and B.Sc. courses are for a duration of three years and the B.P.Ed. Program is for a duration of two year. The application forms for all courses will be made available online the University website at different dates.

10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and minimum 65% marks in average in these three
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and minimum 58.5% marks in average in these three
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and minimum 48% marks in average in these three
10+2 with Mathematics and any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry & Geography, securing at least 65% marks in average obtained in above mentioned three
10+2 with Mathematics and any two subjects from Physics, Chemistry & Geography, securing at least 58.5% marks in average obtained in above mentioned three

Note: Candidates who have obtained the Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University are not eligible for admission to the Bachelor Degree course of this University.

The application process is online beginning from June 3, 2017. The form can be accessed on the University website. The entire Application process is online, but the certificate for sports category, OBC category and PD category will have to be sent separately to the University.
Online Application: The entire Application process comprises primarily of three steps.
Step 1: First, you must login and enter your personal and educational information here. You have to provide this information only once, regardless of how many departments you apply for. If you are not sure about the meaning of any box, place the cursor over that box, and a Tool Tip box will appear. Now click Submit button to save your data. You will then get a unique number. Please note down this, you will need this No. to login to this system in future.
Step 2: You will now be required to select the department you wish to apply for. Before applying you can review the eligibility criteria from the link on the top right corner. If you are eligible, click the Apply button. For each department that you apply for, you will be generated a different Application number. You must note down that Application number.
Step 3: In the Main Page you will get the link for online payment of Application Fee of INR 150 which can be made online through SBI I-Collect system in any of the following modes:
Now you need to go to the link and pay the Application Fees using Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card. You should then upload the SB Collect Reference No (starting with DU) in this website, and click on submit.
Your Application process is now complete.
In addition, applicants must submit attested photocopies of the certificates for participation in Sports/Games for applying under Sports category, and disability under PD category along with a copy of online payment receipt at the following address on or before 5pm on June 17, 2017.

Marks obtained in Mathematics will be added to aggregate to obtain a final score out of 500. Candidates will be ranked as per the final score.

On the basis of a two and a half hour written test for English and a two hour written test for Comparative Literature
BA Political Science, Philosophy
Entrance Exam + Qualifying Exam with 50% weightage each
Entrance Exam (60% weightage) + 40% weightage of marks obtained in Bengali and English taken together in qualifying exam
B.Sc. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
Marks scored in the qualifying exam (out of a score of 400)
B.Sc. Geological Sciences, Geography
Marks scored in the qualifying exam (out of a score of 300)
Admission test (Practical) + academic results + written test.
There will be a separate merit list for male and female candidates.
Note: Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary or its equivalent examination (under 10+2 system) through a correspondence course under any recognized Board/Council, shall be required to sit for a Preliminary Qualifying Test (PQT) for admissions to BA (Honours) in Economics, History, Sanskrit and Sociology.
The reservation criteria will apply only to those candidates domiciled in the state of West Bengal. It will be based on the policy followed by the state government rules.
For PWD: Persons with 40% or more disability will only be considered for admission under PD category under PWD. Applicants under PD category will have to appear before an expert committee to be constituted by the University.
For OBC Category: The candidates who will be provisionally selected under the OBC- A and OBC- B categories must produce an OBC certificate at the time of counselling/ admission, whose date of issue should not be earlier than June 2015. For Sports Quota: There are certain requirements that the candidate must fulfil.

For Chess: The candidate must have FIDE rating of 1700 and above is eligible to apply for admission under sports quota.
For Tennis: A student having AITA ranking up to 300 for under 18 years boys/girls or ranking up to 500 for open (Men/Women) category is eligible to apply for admission under sports quota.
