BIT Mesra invites Applications for admission to the Bachelor of Pharmacy Programme for the academic year. It is a full time programme offered for a duration of 4 years comprising 8 semesters.  BIT MESRA provides total number of 60 seats in the programme. How To Apply

The Application Forms are to be filled online at the University website and submitted to the college.

Step 1: Candidate must visit the University website and click on “Click Here to Apply Online”. 

Step 2: Register for the Application Form by filling in the required personal details and the programme. Use the given username and password for login.

Step 3: Fill in the educational details including the JEE Main and NEET-UG details.

Step 4: Upload recent colour passport size photograph which should not exceed 5kb in size.

Step 5:Save the Application for future changes or if you have completed the Application, click on “Generate Application Number”.

Step 6: After generation of ‘Application Number’, click on the link State Bank Collect for payment towards application fee of Rs. 1500 or general and OBC category and Rs. 1000 for SC/ST category, either through net banking, or debit or credit card.

Step 7: Submit the Application Form and take a print out of the Application Form.

Step 8: Candidate should attach the following enclosures with the Form (One must write your Name and “B.Pharm” on the back of each of the photocopies):

  • Class 10th certificate
  • Class 10th and Class 12th marksheet
  • Admit Card of JEE (Main) or NEET-UG 
  • Score Card of JEE (Main) or NEET-UG 
  • Caste certificate (if applicable) which should be in proper format and signed by appropriate authority of rank not less than SDO
  • Photo identification
  • One recent colour photograph with your Name and “B.Pharm” written on the back

Step 9: Send the printed copy of the Application Form along with the required enclosures and a copy of the Payment Receipt to the following address:

You should have passed the Class 12th or I.Sc. or equivalent examination with at least English, Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology. You should also have scored a minimum of 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for SC/ST/PwD category.

In case any Board awards grades instead of marks, the calculation of equivalent marks would be based on the procedure prescribed by the Board.

You should also have appeared in JEE (Main)  or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG).

Age: You should be not more than 25 years in case of general category and 30 years in case of SC/ST/PWD category.


The reservation criteria will be based on the policy of the respective state governments in case of state quota seats.

For the remaining seats, the reservation criteria will be as follows:

Persons with Disability3%

Up to one seat may be allotted to the candidates who are Sons or Daughters of Kashmiri Migrant and who have otherwise have qualified for admissions. Of the total seats, 50% seats will be reserved for candidates who have passed their Class 12th qualifying exam from Jharkhand State.

Admission Process

Candidate will be selected on the basis of merit with the following distribution of marks:

  • 60% weightage will be given to marks obtained in JEE (Main)  / National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEETUG) Score and
  • 40% weightage will be given to academic performance (marks in Class 12th / equivalent qualifying examination)

Note: The marks in Class 12th will be computed as average of following 4 subjects - English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics / Biology / Biotechnology.


If you have a foreign diploma, you should see the EdCIL website for equivalence and if required, you should obtain an equivalence certificate well in advance from the evaluation division of the AIU.
