Banasthali Vidyapith, Tonk, Rajasthan offers admission to Research courses viz. M.Phil and Ph.D under 7 specializations in M.phil and 9 faculties in Ph.D. Banasthali Admission will be based on Aptitude test (for M.Phil) and Research Aptitude Test (RET) for Ph.D.

Candidate holding Masters degree in relevant subject will be eligible for admission.

Application form can be filled online or oflline. Application fee of INR 800/- can be paid through Net Banking/Debit/Credit Card/Demand Draft.

Application form can be submitted online as well as offline.

  1. Students have to fill the application form with respect to their personal & academic details.
  2. Duly filled application form must be sent to the University address along with the desired documents.
  • Online Mode:

Students can also apply for the UG courses by navigating to the official website of the Banasthali Vidyapith.

Eligibility Criteria

  • For Ph.D programmes:
  1. In case of Ph.D admissions, candidates (only women) should have obtained Master’s degree in the relevant field of study with at least 55% aggregate of marks or should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
  2. Candidate who possess at least 5 years work experience (Teaching/Industrial/Research) may be given relaxation of 5% in the minimum required aggregate by the Vice-Chancellor for registration to Ph.D programme

Exemption from the requirement of appearing in RET:

  1. A candidate who have qualified NET, SLET, GATE or M.Phil. (If the candidate was admitted to M.Phil. through a research entrance test) may be exempted from the entrance test.
  2. A candidate belonging to the Faculty of Fine Arts (Visual Art, Music & Dance) and Design, will be exempted from the entrance examination. Such candidates should contact the research section separately.
  • For M.Phil programmes:

For M.Phil admissions, candidates (only women) must possess MA/M.Sc degree in the relevant field of specialization with at least 55% aggregate of marks. 

Selection Process

Admission will be based on the Aptitude test and Research entrance test conducted by the university.

  • For M.Phil programme:

Selection of candidates to M.Phil programme will be done based on merit-cum-aptitude test, conducted by the university itself in the month of June every year.
