Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT) UG Admission 2020: Dates, Application Process, Eligibility

The Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies, Basara (RGUKT-Basara) offers the Integrated Bachelor of Technology Programme (B.Tech.) as a six year undergraduate program.

Candidates with a valid class 10 certificate are eligible for admission to the Integrated B.Tech program. This program includes two years of Pre-University Course equivalent to an intermediate degree followed by a four-year degree course in engineering. RGUKT invites applications for admission to the Integrated B.Tech Program in various specializations in online mode. 

Admission to Integrated B.Tech  program is granted on the basis of Grade Point Average (GPA) obtained at the Class 10th (SSC) level. Check RGUKT Admission 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate should have passed SSC (10th class) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh State.
  • International student should be of Indian Nationality / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

Age: Candidate should not be more than 18 years for general category and 21 years in case of SC/ST category.


Application Procedure

Candidates seeking admission to the integrated B.Tech program need to apply through AP Online services only. Fill the Application Form with the required personal and educational details. 

Application Fee: INR 150 (for OC and BC candidates) INR 100 (for SC and ST candidates) to be paid in cash at APOnline service centre, for which the centre will issue a receipt. An additional amount of INR 20 per application is to be paid as service charges to the APOnline Centre.

Enclosures: 

  • The receipt issued by the AP Online services
  • Hall Ticket of 10th Class or its equivalent
  • Study Certificates from Fourth class to Tenth class
  • Residence certificate/service certificate of parents by those claiming unreserved category
  • Certificate showing the GPA of 10th class Public Examination, like SSC/CBSE/ICSE/NIOS.
  • Proof of caste/community certificate
  • Physically Handicapped (PH) certificate
  • Aadhar card Xerox of student and parents (mother & father)
  • Ration card Xerox
  • Latest Income

Immediately after submitting the application online, send its print-out duly signed along with the required enclosures by Hand / Speed Post / Registered Post. Write ‘Application for Admissions – RGUKT –RK Valley Institute, AP on the top of the envelop and send it to the following address

Selection Procedure

Selection will be based on merit in the Grade Point Average (GPA) and Grade obtained in each subject.

If the candidate is applying from non-residential Government Schools including the Zillaparishad and Municipal Schools, there will be an extra deprivation score of 0.4 prescribed by the Government to the 10th class GPA for selection, with an objective of providing weightage to help the students from socially, economically deprived sections of the society for admissions.

Reservation

85% of the total available seats shall be reserved for the Local Candidates (Sri Venkateswara University region (Districts: Ananthapuram, Chittoor, Kurnool, SPS Nellore and YSR Kadapa), Andhra Pradesh State) and the remaining 15% of the seats are open to both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana students based on merit.
