Directorate of Centre for Distance Education (DDE)provides admission to M.A., M.Sc., MBA and Master of Valuation through Distance mode. Application for these courses is made online on the university website. Application form is to be filled online and the fee for application form is to be paid in form of a Demand Draft. The copy of application form and demand draft is to be sent to the University campus either by post or by person. There is also the provision of acceptance of application form by the University along with late fee. If candidate fails to submit the application then University also accepts the application form with late fee. In distance mode education, University provides a SIM (Self Instructional material) to candidates through whom students can access the study material and assignments provided by the University. University also provides the facility to pursue two courses simultaneously, one through distance mode and other through regular mode. Students are also provided with a study centre where they can visit and discuss their query with mentor, if any.

Those candidates who have done Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Commerce from a recognised University are eligible for the M.A. programme.

Candidates are required to have been completed Bachelor of Sciences or Bachelor of Arts with mathematics in 2nd year securing at least 55% marks are eligible for the M.Sc. programme.

Those candidates who have done graduation in any stream securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) are eligible for the MBA programme.

Eligibility: For Master of valuation in real estate candidates having graduation in any stream are eligible to apply.
Candidates are required to fill the application form on www.onlineshivajiuniversity.in. Application form is available online only. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200 which is to be submitted in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
The application form along with the Demand Draft is to be submitted to the concerned department either by post/courier or by person.
Candidates can also avail the copy of course directory by paying a sum of INR 100 to the University in form of cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
Note: If course directory is demanded through post then a sum of INR 30 extra is to be paid by the candidates.
If candidates want to apply for more than one course, than they are required to fill different application forms.
If there are less than 10 candidates allotted to an examination centre then that centre is subjected to cancellation and information regarding this will be made available on the University website.
Applications are accepted after the last date of submission with a late fee of INR 100.
There is also a provision to accepted application form with super late fee of INR 500.
Admissions are made on the basis of entrance test conducted by the University. The duration for the test is 90 minutes consisting 100 multiple choice questions. The total marks for the test is 100 and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in the test as well as qualifying exams. For MBA programme question paper will be of 150 marks and 90 minutes.
Centre for entrance test can be allotted in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli. Candidates can select the test centre according to their convenience and the allotment of same depends upon the availability.
Once the merit list is released by the University candidates can apply for scrutinising the result, once the discrepancies (if any) is resolved by the University then a final merit list will be released and admissions are to made on that basis only. Those candidates who have got selected are required to appear to the concerned department along with the course fee to confirm their admission.
Candidates are required to appear with a valid ID proof along with the admit card to the examination centre, failing which candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
Answers in the OMR sheet is to be made by black ball point pen only.
Merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in the entrance test and qualifying exam. 50% weightage to both aspects will be given for preparing merit list.
