Shivaji University MA, M.Sc, MBA Distance Admission 2020: Eligibility, Application Process, Fees

Shivaji University, Directorate of Centre for Distance Education (DDE) provides admission to M.A., M.Sc., MBA, and Master of Valuation. Application to these courses is made online on the university website.

The application form can be filled online and the fee for application form is to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft. The copy of the application form and demand draft is to be sent to the University campus either by post or in person.

There is also a provision of acceptance of application form by Directorate of Centre for Distance Education (DDE) along with late fee. If candidate fails to submit the application then University also accepts the application form with late fee. Eligibility Criteria

MA

Those candidates who have done Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Commerce from a recognised University are eligible for the 2 Year M.A. programme.

M.Sc

Candidate holding a B.Sc / BA (with mathematics in 2nd year) degree and securing at least 55% marks are eligible for the M.Sc. (Mathematics)program.

MBA/PGDM

Candidates who have done graduation in any stream securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) are eligible for the MBA program.

Course name: Master of Valuation

Eligibility: For Master of valuation in real estate candidates having graduation in any stream are eligible to apply.


Application Process

  1. Candidates are required to fill the application form on university website.
  2. Application form is available online only.
  3. Entrance examination fee for each subject is INR 200 which is to be submitted in form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of

Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

  1. The application form along with the Demand Draft is to be submitted to the concerned department either by post/courier or by person.
  2. Candidates can also avail the copy of course directory by paying a sum of INR 100 to the University in form of cash or Demand Draft drawn in favour of  

Finance and Accounts Officer, Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Note: If course directory is demanded through post then a sum of INR 30 extra is to be paid by the candidates.

  • If candidates want to apply for more than one course, than they are required to fill different application forms.
  • If there are less than 10 candidates allotted to an examination centre then that centre is subjected to cancellation and information regarding this will be made available on the University website.
  • Applications are accepted after the last date of submission with a late fee of INR 100.
  • There is also a provision to accept the application form with super late fee of INR 500.


Selection Process

  • Admissions are granted on the basis of entrance test conducted by the University.
  • The duration for the test is 90 minutes and consists of 100 multiple choice questions.
  • The total marks for the test are 100 and a merit list will be prepared on the basis of performance of candidates in the test as well as qualifying exams.
  • For MBA program question paper will be of 150 marks and 90 minutes.
  • Centre for the Entrance Test can be allotted in Kolhapur, Satara and Sangli.
  • Candidates can select the test centre according to their convenience and the allotment of the same depends upon availability.
  • Once the merit list is released by the University, candidates can apply for scrutinizing the result and admissions will be granted on that basis only.
  • Those candidates who have got selected are required to appear to the concerned department along with the course fee to confirm their admission. 

User facts

  • Candidates are required to appear with a valid ID proof along with the admit card to the examination centre, failing which candidates will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
  • Answers in the OMR sheet is to be made by black ball point pen only.
