Bilaspur University B.Sc and BHM Admission 2019: Admit Card, Result, Fees

Bilaspur University the second largest University of Chhattisgarh offers Graduate courses in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) [Food Processing Technology and Computer Science] and Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM). The University aims at imparting education to create an ambience for quality teaching-learning and skill development.

Bilaspur University has total 161 colleges including 55 Government and 106 Private colleges. The University has different colleges for Girls as well. The detailed admission notification is issued during the month of May every year.

The application process ends in the month of July and is an offline process. The admission is based on an entrance test and a personal interview is also conducted before the declaration of the results. Check Bilaspur University Admission 2019

B.Sc. Food Processing Technology10+2 including Chemistry with 45% marks.
B.Sc. Computer Science10+2 including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with 45% marks.
Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM)10+2 in any stream with 45% marks.

Application Procedure

Interested students may apply for any of the Graduate course as per their interest. Forms are available at the website of the University The candidates can submit it to the University along with Demand Draft in favor of “Registrar, Bilaspur University” payable at Bilaspur or the form can be dropped in the drop box kept in Bilaspur University. The application fees is INR 100/- (Categories other than SC/ST) and for SC/ST it is Nil.

Important: Following documents must be enclosed with the application form:

  • The original Demand draft
  • Self-attested copy of Caste certificate (For SC/ST/OBC/PH only)
  • Photocopies of mark-sheets in support of candidate’s educational qualification.

The candidates are advised to go through the Information Brochure/Prospectus prior applying to any of the course. It is available at the website as well as it may be obtained from the University by paying an amount of INR 250/- (For all categories)

Selection Procedure

Candidates are selected on the basis of merit which is prepared on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination and marks obtained in the Entrance test. Department may take the admission through counseling also.

In case, the admission is carried through counseling, the students have to pay the fees on the day of counseling itself.

60 % weightage is given to marks scored in the entrance test and 40% weightage is for marks in qualifying exam. Also, the selection would be on the basis of availability of seats:

Note: Based on the number of applicants and infrastructure number of seats may be increased and the same would be informed.

Duration of the Entrance test will be of 2 hours and the question paper will contain 100 multiple choice questions carrying 1 mark each. There will be No negative marking.

After declaration of results, merit list will be declared and if some seats would be then it will be informed to the candidates.

  • Relaxation in Minimum Eligibility- 5% to the students belonging to SC, ST and PWD category.
  • Relaxation in upper age limit- 5 years for SC, ST and PWD candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates for admissions in various courses where upper limit age is prescribed by the University.
