MA

The University offers the M.A.Programme in the following disciplines:

  •  Economics: Candidate should have secured 45% marks in Arts subjects and 50% marks in Science subjects in 10+2 Examination. Aside from this, one should fulfill any of the following criteria:

1. Candidate should have studied at least one of the following subjects while doing UG course: Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Accountancy, or Computer Science. 

2 The candidate should have a B.Com or BBA Degree with a minimum of 45% marks of the aggregate in groups

3 Candidate should have a B.Tech (Any Branch) Degree with 55% marks in the Aggregate.

  •  Music: One should have any recognized Degree with Vocal Music or Veena Music as one of the main subjects, or any recognized Music Degree with Diploma/Certificate in Veena Music,Vocal Music or equivalent; or any recognized Degree with a grading in Vocal or Veena in classical Music Audition board of All India Radio; or Degree of 4 years systematic training under a guru.
  1. Bharatanatyam:  Should have any Bachelor’s Degree with NatyaVisarada / Govt /Diploma / Praveena or equivalent certificate /Oriental title Degree /Doordarshan or B-Grade /Systematic training from a guru and performance in the interview of SPMVV(or Bachelor Degree in dance).
  1. For other courses: One must qualify the exam with a minimum of 40% marks in the concerned subject, from a recognized University.

M.Ed

Candidate should have passed the B.Ed. Degree with 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in postgraduate degree, if taken.

MCJ (Master of Communication and Journalism) Programme

MSW (Master of Social Work) Programme

For both MCJ and MSW Programmes:

Candidate should have passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination with a minimum of 40% marks in the concerned subject, from a recognised University.

M.P.Ed

Candidate should have a B.P.Ed. or BPE Degree from any recognized University.

M.Com

Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree of B.Com or B.A with Accountancy, Statistics and Mathematics / Commerce / Economics / Computer Applications with an aggregate of 40% marks.

M.Sc

(Statistics) Programme

Candidate should have a B.A or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University, with Statistics and Mathematics as optional subjects.


Application Procedure

  1. Eligible candidates may submit their application online.
  2. The online applications are made available in the website
  3. Candidates should submit fill-in application through online along with application registration and processing fee of Rs.425/- paid through Andhra Bank (Bill desk) payment gateway using credit/ debit card/ Internet banking.
  4. Application form can also be downloaded and filled-in application shall be sent along with a processing fee of Rs.425/- drawn in the form of D.D in favor of Director, Directorate of Admissions , SPMVV, Tirupati on or before 6 May, 2019 by post or in person to the Director, Directorate of Admissions , SPMVV, Tirupati
  5. Candidates can opt for maximum two tests only by paying INR 850 as Registration fee and should opt the same test center for both the tests.


Selection Procedure

For all courses:

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of SPMVV PGCET (Post-graduate Common Entrance Test). There will be a separate test for each course. However, the pattern for the test will be same for all the courses.
  • The test will consist of three sections. Section A will be for 30 marks, Section B for 30 marks and Section C for 40 marks.
  • The test will be of 90 minutes duration with 100 multiple choice questions. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There is no negative mark for a wrong answer. The question papers for English and Telugu tests will be in the respective languages. For all other tests, the question papers will be in both English and Telugu.
  • Candidate should be able to secure a minimum of 25 marks in the paper to qualifying in the Entrance Test. However, there is no minimum qualifying marks if you belong to the SC/ST category.


Reservation

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favour of the local areas: Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Reservation for SC/ST/BC/PHC and other categories shall be followed as per the rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
