Application Procedure

  1. ??Eligible candidates may submit their application online.
  2. The online applications are made available in the website
  3. Candidates should submit fill-in application through online along with application registration and processing fee of Rs.425/- paid through Andhra Bank (Bill desk) payment gateway using credit/ debit card/ Internet banking.
  4. Application form can also be downloaded and filled-in application shall be sent along with a processing fee of Rs.425/- drawn in the form of D.D in favor of Director, Directorate of Admissions , SPMVV, Tirupati on or before 6 May, 2020 by post or in person to the Director, Directorate of Admissions , SPMVV, Tirupati
  5. Candidates can opt for maximum two tests only by paying INR 850 as Registration fee and should opt the same test center for both the tests.


Student should have passed in any of the following qualifying examinations of the respective discipline with a minimum of 50% marks:

SericultureB.Sc. degree with Biology as compulsory subject with any subject with an average of 50% marks in groups
Organic ChemistryB.Sc., 3-year degree or 4-year degree course with Chemistry as one of the subjects in the combination
Food and Nutrition ScienceB.Sc. Home Science, General B.Sc. with Nutrition as one paper, B.Sc. Applied Nutrition, B.Sc. Nursing or General B.Sc

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favour of the local areas: Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Reservation for SC/ST/BC/PHC and other categories shall be followed as per the rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Selection Procedure

For all courses:

  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of SPMVV PGCET (Post-graduate Common Entrance Test). There will be a separate test for each course. However, the pattern for the test will be same for all the courses.
  • The test will consist of three sections. Section A will be for 30 marks, Section B for 30 marks and Section C for 40 marks.
  • The test will be of 90 minutes duration with 100 multiple choice questions. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark. There is no negative mark for a wrong answer. The question papers for English and Telugu tests will be in the respective languages. For all other tests, the question papers will be in both English and Telugu.
  • Candidate should be able to secure a minimum of 25 marks in the paper to qualifying in the Entrance Test. However, there is no minimum qualifying marks if you belong to the SC/ST category.
