KIIT BCA and MCA Admission 2019: Application Form, Placement, Fees

KIITprovides both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of computer application. Apart from the regular BCA and MCA program, the institute also offers Lateral MCA program.

The application form for both MCA and BCA programs can be obtained from the official institute website. KIIT generally provides a registration window for the candidates to complete the application process. The admission to both BCA and MCA (regular and lateral) program is through an entrance test.

Candidates who have successfully completed their higher secondary certificate examination can apply for BCA. For MCA, a candidate must possess a graduate degree in a relevant discipline with Mathematics. In case of lateral entry in MCA, the candidate must possess BCA or B.Sc. in IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM. Check KIIT Admission 2019

Eligibility Criteria


  • Candidate must pass in 10+2 in any stream with at least 50% marks from this with Mathematics as one of the subjects in 10+2 level.
  • Candidate should be born on or after 01.07.1996.


Duration: 3 years

  • Candidate must possess any graduate degree with minimum 50% marks in graduation or equivalent having mathematics either in 10+2 or graduation level as one of the subjects
  • Candidate should be born on or after 01.07.1993.

MCA (Lateral Entry) (Duration 2 years)


  • Candidates must have passed or are appearing in BCA or B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science/IST/ITM) with minimum 50% marks.
  • Candidate must be born on or after 01.07.1993. 

How to Apply

The application process for KIITEE is online, however candidates can also download the application form and submit it to the institute. The steps to fill online application form is given below:

  1. Visit KIIT Official website.
  2. Click on the Admission tab on the home page.
  3. Click on “Apply Online”.
  4. Fill the application form.
  5. There is no application fee required to fill KIITEE application form.
  6. Take printout of the filled in application form.
  7. Paste recent passport size color photograph on the space provided.
  8. Sign on “Signature” column provided for both student and Parent/guardian.
  9. Send the application form alongwith two passport size color photographs, copy of 10th Pass Certificate/Mark sheet to the following address.

Selection Process


The entrance test for BCA constitutes of 120  questions. The questions will be objective in nature. There will be 4 sections in the test paper – Mathematical Ability, Analytical & Logical Ability, Verbal Ability, and General Knowledge. The section-wise breakup of questions is given below:

MCA & MCA Lateral Entry

The entrance test for MCA and MCA Lateral Entry will be objective in nature. There will be 120 questions. There will be three sections in the question paper – Mathematical Ability, Analyticall and Logical ability, and Computer Awareness. Questions in Mathematical ability will be of 10+2 standard. The section-wise number of questions asked in MCA entrance is given below:

Reservation Process

  • 15% and 7.5% of KIITEE quota seats will be reserved for Schedule Caste & Scheduled Tribe
  • 3% of KIITEE will be reserved for PC candidates. (Only locomotory disabilities)
  • All the unfilled reserved seats will be converted to general category.

Counselling Process

KIIT conducts counselling process for admission to BCA and MCA after the results for entrance exam is declared. Based on the availability of seats and number of candidates appearing in the entrance exam, KIIT will declare cutoff marks. Candidates who score marks equal to or above the cutoff marks will be called for the counselling process. A candidate must carry the following documents for counselling process:

  1. Admit Card
  2. Rank Card
  3. 10th pass certificate
  4. 12th pass certificate
  5. Graduation marksheet and pass certificate for MCA
  6. Reservation certificate issued by a competent authority
  7. Demand Draft of 75,000 INR which also includes 10,000 INR counseling and registration fee in favor of KIIT, payable at Bhubaneshwar.
