KIIT BCA and MCA Admission 2020: Application Form, Placement, Fees

Kalinga Institute of Information and Technology based in Bhubaneswar, Orissa offers both UG and PG program in the field of Computer technologies and applications which are BCA and MCA respectively. Candidates opting for MCA must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant program related to computer applications. For BCA, 10+2 with mathematics is required. 

The admission process for both the program is conducted online on the website of the university. The registration fees will be included in admission fees which is to charge at the time of admissions as one time fees at the university campus.

Eligibility Criteria


  • 10+2 in any stream having Mathematics as one main subject with 50% total marks.
  • Candidate must born after July 1996.


  • 10+2 in any stream having Mathematics as one main subject with 50% total marks.
  • BCA from KIIT or from any other recognised university of the country.
  • Candidate must born after July 1993.

MCA Lateral Entry (2 years)

  • BCA/BSc (IT/CS/IST/ISM) passed or pursuing having at least 50% marks in total.
  • All the condition of MCA regular.

Selection Process

The admission is based on the entrance test followed by the interview round. The entrance test for BCA/MCA/MCA (Lateral Entry) will consists of 120 questions of Mathematical, Logical, Reasoning based questions, the syllabus of which is from class 10+2.

The shortlisted candidates on the basis of entrance test will then be called for the interview round at the allotted college of the university at a given date. 

At the time counselling candidate should carry a photocopy as well as original document with them at the given centres. A DD of INR 75000/- which also includes INR 10000/- as registration fees should be drawn in the name of university and should be carried along at the time counselling.

How to Apply

The application process of the programs are same, where the duly filled form is to be downloaded from the website of the university and should be submitted to the below mentioned address. Follow the steps to fill the application form.

  • Visit the website of the university.
  • Search for admission tab
  • Open the admissions form
  • Start filling the form with your personal and academic details 
  • No registration fees is charged at the time of application
  • You can either upload your digital photograph and signature or can download the form once filled and paste one recent colour passport size photo and do your signature on the form.
  • Duly filled form along with your 10+2 mark sheets with 3-4 passport size photographs are submitted to the given address
