SPMVV invites Applications for admission to M.Phil.Programme and Ph.D. Programme for the academic year 2020-2021. Research for both M.Phil. Degree and Ph.D. degree can be carried out on a full- time or part-time basis. The research for M.Phil. shall be uni-disciplinary. The admission for both the programmes will be based on the RESET. There is a common Application Procedure for both M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes. Candidate can download the Application Form from the University website. One should fill in the form with the required personal and educational details.
Application Fee: Application fee of Rs. 1650 for General category and Rs.1100 for SC/ST/PHC category through DD which is to be drawn in favour of the Registrar, SPMVV, Tirupati.

Admission to 85% of the available seats shall be reserved in favour of the local areas: Andhra, Telangana, and Rayalaseema. Reservation for SC/ST/BC/PHC and other categories shall be followed as per the rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
The candidate will be selected on the basis of Research Entrance Test (RESET) conducted by the University followed by a Personal Interview.
The entrance test will be of two and a half hours. The test is divided into two sections. Part-A will have 50 objective types of questions for 50 marks. Part B shall have the descriptive type of questions for 50 marks containing 5 short essays out of eight questions of 10 marks each. The question paper and medium of writing RESET will be in English except for Telugu studies.
Candidate should be able to get a minimum 50% of marks in the entrance test for general category and 45% marks for reserved category.
After clearing the entrance test, candidates have to attend the interview. At the time of interview, one must have to submit the area of proposed research topic along with the research design.
Exemptions: Qualified UGC/CSIR/NET/SET/GATE/GPAT candidates will be exempted from writing SPMVV RESET. 50% of the seats are marked for those who are qualified in UGC/CSIR/ NET/SET/GATE/GPAT.
