Kalyani University PG Admission 2019: Courses, Application Form, Dates

Kalyani University offers a total of 37 courses through its four faculties - Arts and Commerce, Education, Science & Engineering, and Technology & Management. At postgraduate level the University offers programs like MA, MFA, MRS, M.LIb.I.S, M.Sc, M.Tech. The duration of all the PG programs is 2 years.

The application process for PG courses at Kalyani University begins in July every year. The University reserves 60% seats for most of the PG programs for students who qualify their undergraduate program from Kalyani University itself. The application process for Kalyani University is entirely online. The admission test (wherever applicable) is conducted in August. The University also gives weightage to marks scored in the qualifying exam. The academic session for PG courses begins in September.

Admission Process

The selection process for Kalyani University is both merit based and on the basis of performance in an entrance test. The University reserves admission rights on 60% seats for candidates who complete their qualifying examination from the University itself. For such candidates, the merit list is prepared on the basis of marks in the qualifying degree.

For the rest of the 40% seats, Kalyani University conducts an admission test. The admission test will be objective in nature. There will be 50 subject-specific questions of 2 marks each.

Kalyani University Admission Test will be conducted in a 3-tier mode.

Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for an admission test & an interview organized by the department. Marks obtained in the admission test (out of 20) and interview (out of 10) will be added to the total marks as mentioned above. Based on the total marks obtained by the candidate a merit list will be prepared. 


Admission to MBA program will be based on score obtained in any of CAT /MAT/ CMAT / WBJEMAT Examination, followed by Personal Interview and Group Discussion.
