Hyderabad University is a public university which is established in 1974. University is constantly ranked among top Indian universities. The university offers admission to its Integrated M.Tech., M.Sc. and M.A programs in various specializations. For admission to these courses, candidates must have passed in the university entrance exam and JEE Main.

Candidates can register themselves to the above mentioned courses by submitting the registration fee of amount INR 350/- (for general category candidates) and INR 250 (for BC candidates) and INR 150 (for SC/ST category candidates).

Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc , MA & ME/M.Tech

The eligibility of Integrated M.Tech. and Integrated M.Sc. programs is as follows:

Mathematical SciencesCandidate must obtain 60% marks at +2 level of education (Intermediate/CBSE/ICSE/HSC or equivalent) with Science subjects from a recognised board/council.
Chemical Sciences
Systems Biology
Optometry and Vision Sciences
Earth Sciences
Health PsychologyCandidate must obtain 60% marks at +2 level of education or equivalent (Intermediate/ CBSE/ ICSE/ HSC or equivalent) in Arts or Science from this university or any other recognized university.
M.Tech. Computer ScienceCandidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Maths, Physics & Chemistry subjects in first class from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 60% of marks.

Eligibility for foreign candidates who wish to apply in Hyderabad University is as follows:

  • Candidate must have required degree and marks/grades, as prescribed for Indian students
  • Candidate must have valid Indian passport.
  • Foreign national candidates must have qualifying degree from India and who are resident in India are eligible for admission
  • Proficiency of the candidate in English must be high.

How to Apply

  • Candidate must submit the application form online on the university website.
  • Before applying online candidate must upload the signature and his/her photograph.
  • Candidates are required to submit the application fees of amount INR 300/- (for general category candidates) and INR 250 (for BC candidates) and INR 150 (for SC/ST category candidates).
  • Candidates must pay the application fee online.
  • Candidates must upload the following enclosures along with the application form:


  1. Physically Challenged candidates are required to submit a certificate from a Medical Board/Civil Surgeon of a Government Hospital.
  2. SC/ST candidates belonging to the State of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should submit an Integrated Community Certificate issued by the Competent Revenue Authority.
  3. Candidates should submit a copy of the certificate of their caste/ tribe from a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar / Mandal Revenue Officer at the time of interview, admission/counselling

Admission Process

Selection of the candidates is based on marks scored in the entrance tests for which the university accepts the scores of:

Selection of the candidate to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of the percentage or CGPA obtained in the qualifying examination

Reservation Process

  • 5% relaxation is given to candidates who belong to SC/ST categories.
  • 1 seat is reserved in each course for the candidates who belong to the Union Territories / North-Eastern States
  • 2 seats are reserved for the Supernumerary seats for Jammu & Kashmir under special scholarship scheme.
  • 15% seats are reserved in each course for the foreign candidates.
