Hyderabad University (UOH) Integrated M.Sc., Integrated M.Tech. Admission 2020: Courses, Eligibility, Application Process, Entrance Exam

Hyderabad University offers admission to its Integrated M.Tech., M.Sc., and M.A programs in various specializations. For admission to these courses, candidates must have passed in the university entrance exam or the JEE Main.

Candidates can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting the registration fee of amount INR. 550/- (for general category candidates) and INR. 350/- (for BC candidates) and INR. 250/- (for SC/ST category candidates).

Eligibility Criteria

M.Sc , MA & ME/M.Tech

The eligibility of Integrated M.Tech. and Integrated M.Sc. programs is as follows:

With a minimum of 60% marks at +2 level of education (Intermediate/CBSE/ICSE/HSC or equivalent) with Science subjects only.

With a minimum of 60% marks at +2 level of education or equivalent (Intermediate/ CBSE/ ICSE/ HSC or equivalent) in Arts and Sciences

M.Tech. Computer Science

As per JOSAA/CSAB guidelines.

The candidate should satisfy at least one of these two criteria:

  • The candidate is within the category-wise top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective Class XII (or equivalent) examination of the respective stream and Board.

  • The candidate has secured a minimum of 75% (for GEN or OBC-NCL) or a minimum 65% (for SC, ST or PWD) of aggregate marks in Class XII (or equivalent) examination of the respective stream and Board.

Eligibility for foreign candidates who wish to apply in Hyderabad University is as follows:

  • Candidate must have required degree and marks/grades, as prescribed for Indian students
  • Candidate must have valid Indian passport.
  • Foreign national candidates must have qualifying degree from India and who are resident in India are eligible for admission
  • Proficiency of the candidate in English must be high.


How to Apply

Students seeking admission to the Integrated M.Tech program must first apply for their JEE qualifying exams.

I.M.Sc. aspirants must appear for the entrance test conducted by the university itself.

To apply for admission, the candidates must first visit the University’s website.

  • The candidates must register through the admission portal.
  • Candidate must submit the application form online on the university website.
  • Before applying online candidates must upload their signature and photograph.
  • Candidates are required to submit the application fees.

The completed application forms along with relevant documents and enclosures must be mailed to- acadinfo@uohyd.ernet.in or ar_acad@uohyd.ernet.in or by post to the Section officer (Academic Section), Office of Controller of Examinations, University of Hyderabad, P.O. Central University, Gachibowli, Hyderabad – 500 046, Telangana.


Admission Process

Selection of the candidates is based on marks scored by them in their respective qualifying exams.

University entrance test

The Entrance Examinations for I.M.Sc. (5-year Integrated) courses in Sciences will consist of a written test of 100 marks.

The performance of the candidates in the test comprising of Objective or Multiple Choice Questions will be evaluated using the OMR technology. The candidates will be required to mark the answers in the OMR Sheet with a blue or black ball-point or sketch pen during the test.

The duration of the written test will be for two hours.

The admission to 5-Year Integrated M.Tech. Computer Science will be done through CSAB based on JEE (Main) examination score.

Note:

Foreign candidates should clear SAT-I or ACT examination as a pre-requisite for admission to 5-year Integrated M.Tech. in Computer Science and may apply directly to the office of International Affairs, University of Hyderabad.


Reservation Process

General Guidelines:

  • 1 seat is reserved in each course for the candidates who belong to the Union Territories/North-Eastern States
  • 2 seats are reserved for the Supernumerary seats for Jammu & Kashmir under special scholarship schemes.
  • 15% of seats are reserved in each course for the foreign candidates.
