GBU Integrated Courses Admission 2020: Application Form, Entrance Exam, Fees

Gautam Buddha University (GBU) is a Research University located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.  It is a state university which was established in 2002. GBU offers multiple integrated programs in the fields of technology, management, and humanities. The integrated programs are open for candidates who have completed their intermediate or equivalent degree from a recognized board.

The admission process for integrated programs begins in January. The application forms are made available on the official website of the university. The selection for integrated programs is through an entrance exam conducted by GBU.

The entrance exam is conducted in the offline mode at 22 different centres across India. The entrance exam is conducted in April after which the university declares a merit list of candidates selected for admission. The academic session at GBU begins in July.

How to Apply:

For Indian Candidates:

Indian candidates can obtain and fill the application form on GBU official website. The steps involved in application process is given below:

  1. Visit GBU official website and fill the online application form.
  2. Pay application fee through online mode (credit card/debit card/netbanking) or through a DD drawn in favor of “The Chairman, Admissions, Gautam Buddha University” payable at Greater Noida.
  3. The application fee for general candidates is 1200 INR and for SC/ST candidates is 600 INR.
  4. Take a printout of the application form and send it to the following address:

  1. Candidate must mention “Application for Undergraduate Programme GPTU ” on the right top corner of the envelope.

For International Candidates:

International candidates need to take a printout of the application form from the official website and send it to the university in the prescribed format. The steps involved in application process for International candidates is given below:

  1. Visit the official website and download the application form for International candidates.
  2. International candidates can pay application fee (200$) in any of the branch of Nationalized Bank situated in the GBU campus or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of “The Chairman Admissions, Gautam Buddha University” payable at Greater Noida.
  3. Send the filled in application form with necessary enclosures to the following address:

Enclosures to be sent with the application form:

  1. Four Photostat copies of School / Degree Certificates
  2. Four Photostat copies of Marks / Grade Statements
  3. Four Photostat copies of Date of Birth Certificate
  4. Four Photostat copies of the syllabi of the last qualifying examination
  5. Category certificate (if applicable)



  • Candidates must have passed 10+2 with physics, chemistry and mathematics with minimum 50% marks (45% marks for candidates who belong to SC/ST category).
  • Candidates must pass separately in physics, chemistry and mathematics from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 40% marks.

Reservation Process:

Seats will be reserved for the SC/ST/OBC category candidate is as per the Uttar Pradesh Government rules and Gautam Buddha University rules.

Admission Process:

Selection of candidates for admission to Integrated courses at GBU is on the basis of performance in a written test conducted by the university except for BA-MA integrated program. In case of BA-MA integrated program in Buddhist Studies and Civilization, the University grants admission on the basis of marks in qualifying degree.

The written test conducted for Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech./MBA will be of 2 hours duration and will have objective type questions. The paper will have three sections – Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Mathematics section will carry 40% weightage while Physics and Chemistry will carry 30% weightage each. The questions will be from 10+2 science syllabus.

The written test for Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech./MBA in Food Processing and Technology, and Biotechnology will also be of 2 hours duration with 100 multiple-choice questions. The paper will have four sections – Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidates will have the choice to answer any one of the sections from Biology and Mathematics. Physics and Chemistry are compulsory for all candidates. The weightage will be 40% for Biology/Mathematics, and 30% each for Physics and Chemistry. The questions will be of 10+2 level.

The written test for Integrated BBA and MBA program will again be objective in nature and will be conducted over a period of 2 hours. The test paper will have four sections – Reasoning and Aptitude (30% weightage), Mathematical Ability (30% weightage), English Proficiency (20% weightage), and General Knowledge (20% weightage).

Eligibility for Foreign Candidates:

  • Candidate must hold valid passport from their respective countries.
  • Candidate must obtain certificate of the International Students approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
  • Candidate studying in the final year or having qualified Degree are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must have completed 12 years or 10+2 years of formal schooling.
