DIPSAR D.Pharm., B.Pharm., and M.Pharm. Admission 2020: Application Process, Cut Off, Fees

Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences & Research (DIPSAR)  offers courses such as D.Pharma., B.Pharma. and M.Pharma. These courses are recognized by both Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates aspiring to be a part of these courses can either apply online or offline. The last date of sending in your application forms is June 23rd, For all courses.

Students must adhere to the DIPSAR eligibility criteria before filling up the DIPSAR application form. Different criteria are laid out for different courses. Any student not fulfilling these criteria is not eligible to apply. How To Apply

Both offline & online options are there with the students. Both the options are given below: 

Offline Process

  1. Candidate can buy the application form from along with a prospectus priced at INR.1000/-. Payment can be made by cash or demand draft in the name of: 

The Director,
Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research,
New Delhi.

In case of applying for multiple courses, separate forms should be submitted.

  1. Candidates are requested for the application form and prospectus through the office of Director, Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, by post. The cost of the application form and prospectus is INR. 1000. It should be accompanied by a self-attested envelope of size 30 cm x 22 cm, duly stamped {(INR. 75) by the ordinary post.}
  1. Candidates can also download the DIPSAR application form from its official website and can be sent to the Director, DIPSAR, along with all the necessary documents and a demand draft of INR.1000/- in favour of 14 Prospectus Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research (DIPSAR) Director, DIPSAR. They must also submit the printed copy of online registration form with the application fee.

Online Process

Candidates must follow the below steps for DIPSAR’s online registration process.

  1. Candidates can visit the official website and apply for admission. No print of form will be required to be sent to the college.
  2. ?An acknowledgement slip will be generated online which is a proof that payment must be retained.
  3. Candidates filling the application forms must submit them along with attested copies of Mark Sheet, Date of Birth, Character Certificate and Special Category Certificate.

Note: Candidates must carry their original certificates/undertakings at the time of admission. Admission will be made strictly on merit basis i.e. aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying subject prescribed for admission to the course subject to the reservations.

Eligibility Criteria


Annual Fee:INR. 25,390/-

Candidates can find below the DIPSAR eligibility criteria for admission in B.Pharm.

  • Candidates should have scored an aggregate of 60% or above in 10+2 in three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in CBSE or equivalent Board.
  • Candidates who have passed 10+2 from Open School are NOT ELIGIBLE for admission.
  • A candidate must have to be at least 17 years of age before the first day of October, of the year he/ she seeks admission. The candidates born on/or before 30th September, 1999 are eligible to apply for admission to the course.
  • Candidates who have been awarded grades in the examination which make them eligible for admission should also submit conversion certificate of numerical marks from the concerned authority.
  • There is a relaxation of 5% for SC/ST students.
  • For Persons with Disability (PWD), reservation of seats for the PWD candidates will be done as per the guidelines of University of Delhi. The PWD Students are advised to get themselves registered with Dean, Students Welfare, North Campus, and University of Delhi in order to consider their cases for admission to Degree and Diploma course



  • Students willing to take admission in the 2nd year of B.Pharma, must make note that they have passed the Diploma course in Pharmacy (2 years) from Univeristy of Delhi. Only then they will be eligible for admission in 2nd year. The process is strictly on merit basis i.e both in theory and practical together.
  • There will be no reservation of any category for these seats.
  • Candidates will have to pass the following additional papers viz. Mathematics, Basic Electronics and Computer Science of B. Pharm 1st year.
  • Candidates born on or before 30th September, 1998 are eligible for admission to the course.


The reservation criteria for different categories are mentioned below: 


  1. Out of the total, 22.5% of the seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The division is given below:
  • 15% for SC
  • 7.5% for ST
  • 27% of seats for OBC (Delhi)
  1. In case of non-availability of OBC the seats to be converted to general category?
  • The OBC candidates shall be given 5% of relaxation with minimum eligibility in the qualifying examination.
  • All those OBC candidates who meet the minimum eligibility marks in the qualifying examination shall be eligible for admission in the order of their merit.
  1. All SC/ST/OBC candidates are required to submit their verified certificate from the competent authority with the application form.
  1. Candidates from Delhi category (SC//ST/OBC) must produce a recent (last 6 months) valid caste and creamy/non-creamy layer certificate (wherever applicable) from the appropriate authority of Govt of Delhi
  1. The non-Delhi SC/ST candidates have to produce the caste and creamy layer certificate from the competent authority of their respective state. These certificates will be duly verified by the Admission Officers

Foreign National & Kashmiri Migrant Candidates:
The seats are supernumerary do not cross 5% on total intake and are in accordance with the AICTE norms. The candidates must submit their copy of the application to the university. 
Physically Handicapped Students:
Physically handicapped students are advised to get themselves registered with Ms. Deepika Aggarwal, Centre for Physiotherapy, DIPSRU, in order to consider their cases for admission to Under-graduate courses. These seats are supernumerary and maximum up to 3%.

Selection Process

  • Out of the total seats, 15% will be filled by Non-Delhi candidates with valid GPAT score and an aggregate of 60% in B.Pharm. The non Delhi candidates will be allowed to choose their seats first, not exceeding 1 seat in each branch. 
  • The remaining 85% of the seats will be offered to graduates who pass out of Delhi colleges/universities with valid GPAT score. The merit list of candidates will be prepared on the basis of giving 50% weightage to marks obtained in theory paper (II, III and IV) and 50% weightage for GPAT score.
  • In each branch first 15% seats for non-Delhi students- 100% GPAT score will be the criteria. In case of more than one candidate with the same score, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age. In case no GPAT students available in 15% Non-Delhi category, then student from Delhi category with GPAT will be considered. 
  • In case of sufficient number of Delhi, students are not available against the 85% of seats, the seats will go to non-Delhi students with valid GPAT score. After exhaustion of non- Delhi GPAT qualified candidates, if seats still remain vacant they will be offered to Delhi-NON GPAT applicants. Further, if seats still remain vacant the non-Delhi NON GPAT can be considered, if possible.
  • The course begins. Candidates can obtain the final merit list of the M.Pharm on the notice board/website of the university.
  • The final merit list for all M.Pharm. categories will be displayed on the Notice Board/Website within 30 days after the declaration of B. Pharm results by the University of Delhi.

Documents Required for M.Pharm Programme at the time of Admission

Candidate must carry following list of original documents at the time of admission:

1. GPAT Score Card

2. D.O.B certificate

3. Provisional Certificate from the College/Institute last attended

4. Proof of gap period, if any.

5. Character Certificate from the school last attended

6. Medical Certificate from a medical practitioner holding a degree not below MBBS

7. Two passport size photographs (unattested, colored)


GRANT OF FELLOWSHIP (To be governed by rules of AICTE)  

Following are the details to consider before a candidate applies for a fellowship:

  • M. Pharm is a full-time course
  • It is compulsory for each student to undertake 8-10 hours (per week).
  • Students may have to provide assistance in the projects of Government of India/University Grants Commission/Council of Scientific and Industrial Research/ Industry sponsored or AICTE for which they will be given INR. 1500/- per month.
  • Students shall not receive any emoluments, salary, stipend, etc. from any other source during the tenure of the course.
  • Scholarships in no circumstance will be more than 24 months.
  • No house rent allowance (HRA) will be granted to the student receiving a scholarship.
  • Students under sponsored category and foreign students are not eligible for these scholarships.
  • The student shall be eligible for medical facilities as per institute/college rules.
  • A maximum of 30 days of leaves are allowed in a year in addition to general holidays but is not entitled to vacations. 
  • Students who wish to receive the scholarship must be admitted to AICTE approved M.Pharm level courses along with their valid GPAT score.
  • Students are requested to provide an undertaking that they shall abide by the above-mentioned clauses.
  • No student, appearing for the scholarship, is allowed to leave the course midway or appear in a competitive exam. He/she needs to provide an affidavit for the same. In case a student leaves it midway, he needs to return the drawn fellowship amount along with 18% interest.
  • AICTE/Institute/University of Delhi may impose any other conditions as deemed necessary from time to time.
  • A student must possess 75% of attendance (both in theory and practical) to be eligible to appear in the final examination.

 General Category

M.Pharm. (1st year)- The date of merit list and Date of admission will be within 30 days from the date of declaration of B.Pharm 4th year result of University of Delhi

B.Pharm. (2nd year)- The date of merit list and Date of admission will be within 30 days from the date of declaration of D.Pharm 2nd year result of University of Delhi

 Reserved Category

For M.Pharm. (1st year) and B.Pharm. (2nd year)- The admission schedule will be duly notified on the university website and the notice board. No individual communication will be sent

3. Any seat falls vacant after withdrawal of any admitted student will be filled up in the same order of merit from the respective category

Hi Rahul, no, Biology in intermediate is not compulsory to be eligible for this course. However, you must have scored at least 55% in class 12th to be eligible.

Hi Suruchi, candidates who have scored at least 55% in their graduation degree will be considered eligible for this course. However, admission will be done on the basis of GPAT score only.

Hi Saurav, students who have scored 60% aggregate in intermediate will be held eligible for the course. Thus, you are eligible for the course. Admission process will start from May 30, 2019 (tentatively). However, admission will be approved only on the basis of merit in qualifying examination.

Hi Krayuri, admission to B.Pharma lateral entry is done on the basis of merit only. There is no minimum percentage criteria to be eligible for admission. Thus, you are eligible.
