Banaras Hindu University (BHU) formerly known as Central Hindu College, is a Central University situated in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is known as one of the largest Residential Universities of Asia. The University is acknowledged as an Institute of National Importance. The Institute was established in 1916 and is known for the various courses it offers to students at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels.
The admission to undergraduate courses at BHU is through Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET). The application process for UET begins by the end of January. In order to apply to UET, the candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board of education.
UET is conducted offline and is objective in nature. The entrance exam is conducted in April or May every year. The exam is conducted separately for different streams. The result for UET is declared around first or second week of June.

The students wishing to appear in the UET, need to apply for the same. The application form and all the other important details regarding the Entrance Test and admission can be found on the Entrance Test Portal of BHU.
In case an application is made for more than one course, under UET 2019, the Application Processing Fee/Entrance Test Fee for the second application shall be charged as per reduced rates mentioned below-
After successful payment, the application form is considered to be submitted successfully. The students are expected to download their Admit Card one week prior to the date of the exam.
Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (Class 10+2) Examination from a recognized Board/ Council with at least 50% marks. Also, the students must be 22 years old or below.
BHU follows the mandate of Government of India for reservation of seats in educational institutes. The category-wise seat reservation is given below:

The selection for the B.A., LL.B., B.Ed., and B.Com courses are done on the basis of merit. All the students have to appear for the UET as per the schedule. Merit lists will be announced for each course.
There will be a common entrance exam for both these courses. The structure for the UET for B.Com. courses is given below:
