    Admission Process of MBBS in Australia

    International students can apply for MBBS in Australia by following two ways:

    • Dual Degree (BMed + MD) or MBBS: This program is for 12th pass-out students. Required subjects are Mathematics, English, Chemistry, or Biology.
    • MD: Students having a bachelor's degree can directly apply for MD. However, most of the top Australian universities ask for GAMSAT or MCAT scores for admission in this program.

    Students not from Australia or New Zealand are required to demonstrate proficiency in the English language by submitting IELTS or TOEFL test scores. The minimum requirement is as follows:

    Admission Decision for MBBS in Australia Admission

    On the basis of scores and submitted documents, the universities shortlist the qualified candidates. They send an invitation via email or call for interview purposes. The shortlisted candidates have to go through MMI, interview, or other exams as required by the university. MMI or Multiple Mini Interviews last for 2 hours where an applicant is being measured on the scale of logical reasoning, problem solution, interpersonal skills, empathy, and ethical judgment.
