Program Description

  • Certificate degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the University of Waterloo is offered as a 6-week program.
  • It is an online, course-based program offered on a full-time basis.
  • This program provides the fundamental knowledge and skills to begin a career in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Students will learn the basics of the supply chain, distribution, and logistics functions and acquire the necessary strategies and tactics to productively manage these critical company roles.
  • In this program students have to complete the following required courses:
    • Supply Chain Management Fundamentals
    • Distribution and Logistics Management
    • Purchasing Fundamentals
  • Each course runs for six weeks, and lessons are released on Wednesdays and Fridays of each week. Students are not required to be online at any specific time.
  • When the final lesson is released, students will have 2 weeks to complete the final exam and there is only one opportunity to submit and pass the exam.
  • It is an open-book, multiple-choice exam and students need to achieve a minimum of 65% to pass the course.
  • A certificate of completion from Ed2Go is available for printing immediately upon successful completion and a certificate from the University of Waterloo will be emailed to students within 1-2 weeks.
  • It is a non-credit course that can give students the skills and knowledge that students need to further their careers and are offered conveniently throughout the year.
  • This certificates program provides students with a wide variety of tools and techniques which will help them to achieve their personal and career goals.

  • There are no admission requirements, no deadlines, and no required time to complete the certificate.
  • All courses must be taken through Professional Development at the University of Waterloo in order to be eligible for the certificate from Professional Development.

  • Official Transcripts: Students need to submit their copy of their original transcripts. Official transcripts are printed on security paper with the University of Waterloo seal and signature of the Registrar.
  • Statement of Interest: Statement of interest is one of the few ways to describe that faculty have to understand the student's motivation, the seriousness of purpose, and their level of commitment to the discipline.
  • Three academic or professional references: Referees (Teachers, guidance counselors, or Professors) should comment on academics and that references should submit along with the application system.
  • CV/Resume:  Students should probably provide a resume, a copy of their transcripts, as well as a copy of their statement of interest, and other relevant application material.
