With students from over 148 countries, speaking a total of 98 languages Bow Valley College offers a variety of programs across different regions in Canada. All the courses including full-time certificate, Diploma and Post-Diploma/Post Degree programs are eligible for a post-graduate work permit.

Academic semesters at the Bow Valley College begin in the Fall, Summer, and Winter seasons. The college has specific admission timeline for each semester. Bow Valley College English Proficiency Requirements

International applicants seeking admission at Bow Valley College are required to demonstrate a certain level of proficiency in the English language. This requirement is mandatory for applicants belonging to non-English speaking countries. Several of BVC programs have separate ELP minimum score requirements. Applicants must note that the ELP score requirements are waived for those who fulfil any one of the following requirements

  • Successful completion of the Alberta Education English Language Arts course.
  • Transcript proving completion of 3-year full-time secondary education in the English language.
  • Transcript proving completion of 1-year post-secondary education in the English language.

Bow Valley College Diploma & Certificate Program Admissions

Presently, Bow Valley College only offers diploma and certificate programs to prospective students. These programs are available in different academic fields like business, community studies, health & wellness, and creative technologies. The general admission process and requirements are the same for the majority of the programs. Still, applicants are advised to check the specific program page for any additional/separate admission requirement.

Visa process for International applicants

  • After the successful application, candidates will receive a mail with confirmation whether the application is accepted or rejected. In case the application is rejected, students will also be informed about the missing document or any eligibility criteria not fulfilled.
  • Another mail providing MyBVC account login information will be received. Students are recommended to login to this account frequently to be aware of important information related to the term and course.
  • Once the offer is received, students will have 3 weeks of time to provide confirmation and pay $1500 which is non-refundable and is a part of the tuition fee for the first-term.
  • After the above processes, A Letter of Acceptance will be received along with payment receipt.
  • Now comes the part of applying for Visa or say, a Study Permit to study in Canada. Submit Letter of Acceptance and Payment receipt and apply for Study Permit at a Canadian Embassy in your country. Remember to Provide DLI number (O19273769422) along with Letter of Acceptance.
  • International students who wish to aid their own finances can also apply for a co-op work-permit along with study-permit.
