Program Description

  • Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality is Four-years (8 semesters) degree program.
  • This course is offered on a full-time basis and part-time studies are not available for this program.
  • The Bachelor of Business Administration in Hospitality develops the skills in:

  • In this program, the college provides a dynamic industry and combines experiential learning through four-month paid terms working full-time in industry.

  • George Brown works with employers and industry partners to identify potential work experience opportunities.
  • The student is offered two co-op terms in this program.
  • This program is approved for OSAP(Ontario Student Assistance Program) funding, provided the applicants to meet OSAP eligibility criteria.
  • Eligible students may study for one or two-semester abroad in their second year of study.
  • Fees for this program do not include the cost of the co-op work term.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma with six Grade 12 University (U) or University/College (M) courses.
  • A grade of at least 60% in all prerequisite courses (English and Maths).
  • An overall average of 65% in six Grade 12 (U - University ) or (M - University/College) courses, including Grade 12 in English and Mathematics.
  • Students must complete a two-year hospitality diploma.
  • The student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA to qualify and class grades of 73% ("B" grade) or higher to gain exemptions. 
  • Must be graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college).
  • Students may also be able to meet English proficiency requirements by completing the appropriate ESL(English as a second language) level at one of the college language school partners.
  • Students submit the result of the GRE score.

Work Experience Eligibility: 

  • Work experience is required as part of this program.
  • A work-integrated learning experience that amounts to no less than 14 weeks and a minimum of 520 hours of full-time equivalent work.
  • Work Experience offers the opportunity to:
    • Students are also strongly encouraged to pursue self-directed industry work experience opportunities and believe would provide the learning experiences value and meet the learning outcomes of the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • The student has graduated from senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college).
  • Minimum 5 major subjects in 12th Grade, including English, with an average of 65% and no course less than 60%.
