Being from a science background, I decided to undertake my course in cardiovascular perfusion. I did not have any idea about my course until my professor recommended it to me. After obtaining a GPA of 7, I had selected this university. The institute had Academic partnerships with the University of Toronto, Laurentian University, and Northern Ontario School of Medicine. My admission procedure required the submission of an online application form along with the application fee of $35.
My program included subjects like chemotherapy, patient care, and professionalism, professional practice, pathophysiology, and applied pharmacology. The practical skills were taught by professors to conduct cardiopulmonary bypass using a heart-lung machine and other ancillary equipment. I was even taught to make use of life support equipment such as ventricular assist devices and intracranial balloon pumps.
