I was looking for a college that focuses on the individual student and has specialization in B.A. studies. I had learnt about the college online and had taken admission in it. I have my classmates come from Malaysia, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK, and other places across the globe! To get in, I applied online along with the application fee of $100.
The B.A for International studies curriculum is very wide and includes every essential topic. It focuses on community engagement studies. We study through classroom discussion, rather than just learning on-board. The course curriculum covers a wide range of topics from international development to socio-economics to social enterprise.
I wanted to pursue a career abroad and was obstinate in pursuing arts because of my grave interest in the course. But having an average high school grade (GPA) had dimmed my expectations for a good college. But then, my maternal uncle who works at Fredericton itself told me about Stephen's and explained that, although this college had a limited intake each year, where some universities accepted the highest GPA students first, St. Stephen's accepted students on a first come- first serve basis. So, I applied to the university and submitted an online application along with $100 as the application fee.
I was given an option to select my major from any of the humanities disciplines. Amongst the many, I opted for history which was quite obvious for me. I have friends over here who also have opted for psychology, international studies, and community engagement. I have noticed that my college gives vast options in choosing the course on which a student is passionate for.
I applied for some 4-5 colleges at the time of admission and only got selected in two. I took admission in St. Stephen's University because of its curriculum and tuition fee. The curriculum is designed very well it covers all the important aspects of humanity. I completed my Class 12th from a CBSE board school in India with 95.6% and fulfilled all the eligibility criteria. I applied through the online program application and paid the application fee of $100.
The program is designed for the candidates to get a holistic experience and be ready for real-world challenges. During the program, we have to attend seminars and workshops to enhance and hone our skills and get involved in humanitarian activities. The program is structured to equip us with different skills that help us to shape our careers.
