St. Stephen's University is a liberal arts university located in St. Stephen, New Brunswick. It is a small privately-owned university which enrolls only 30 students every year. It is the smallest university in Canada. The university offers undergraduate as well as graduate courses.

Stephen’s University International Admissions

There are several additional requirements for international students along with the general requirements which are the same as the Canadian applicants. The details of additional requirements are mentioned below:

Admission Requirements for International Students

  • Official transcripts of educational institutions attended previously.
  • The minimum GPA required is 70%.
  • If the applicant does not meet the minimum required GPA, then he/she will have to submit any one of the following documents
  • Letter of reference from an academic teacher
  • A self-written explanation for securing low grades.
  • A statement which describes the relevant learning disability
  • English proficiency test scores.

English Proficiency Test Score

All the international applicants who does not have English as their first language need to prove their proficiency in English by submitting their TOEFL, IELTS or other test scores. Minimum required scores for admission are given below.

Student Permit for International Students

The next step after being granted admission is to apply for a student permit from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). After receiving the acceptance letter from the college applicants need to apply for a valid visa in order to study in Canada. To enter Canada students even require a Temporary Residence Visa.

Requirements for a study permit are as follows:

  • A valid passport
  • Application fee ( billed in CND)
  • Evidence of sufficient funds
  • Medical examination
  • Biometrics

Temporary Visa Permit: This visa can be both single and multiple entry. The requirements for a temporary residence visa are as follows:

St. Stephen’s University provides Foundation Year Diploma, Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities, International Studies or Community Engagement and Psychology as well as Bachelor of International Studies. The basic requirements for all courses is the same. However, there are some specific requirements for a number of courses.
