Reviews
I had planned out my career path around the hospitality field from 11th standard and wanted to pursue a diploma in the field before getting into the bachelor's program. Also getting a diploma in Canada itself would give me an added advantage to enroll myself in any university here. I got to know about the college from a University fair. This college has the perfect curriculum to help me understand the field inside out. I applied for the course online and paid an application fee of around $300.
Course Curriculum
My course is designed for 47 weeks of which 160 hours are dedicated to practical work. It is constructed in such a way that it has helped me understand my strong points and work on my comparatively weaker points. The curriculum is modern and is based on the current industry needs. It touches upon every subject which might be of significance in the near future for me. It gives me a lot of options to explore and experiment with, as I know now which work is related to which field. The subjects offered in the curriculum are- Resort management, organizational behavior, accounting for the hospitality industry, etc. All the subjects have helped me develop the necessary managerial skills and capability of quick thinking.
I had no plan of studying tourism until my friend told me about this course. After securing a GPA of 8, I had applied at this college. I had done some research and had applied at this college as my course had a 5-star level endorsement from the Association of Canadian Travel Agencies (ACTA). My admission procedure was quite simple through an online application form, after paying an application fee of around $500.
Course Curriculum
My diploma course the first program of its kind where the curriculum included an all-expense familiarization Trip To Europe! This program gave me a diverse set of skills to work in all the different travel and tourism sectors-think land, air, or sea. In my course, I learned about different cultures, problem-solving while helping others travel, and sight-seeing. My course was a 47-week program and included Professional Development, Ground Transportation, Career Development, Lifestyle Tourism, and Tour Guiding.
