Corpus Christi College is a transfer oriented academic college that offers more than 80 programs, with 60 transferable credits. The college specializes in programs of Arts, which can be opted for as first and second-year courses to UBC and many other premium institutions.

Applications at Corpus Christi College are invited for the Fall, Winter and Summer semesters. The college has four intake sessions per year namely in September, January, May, and July. There are no regular admission deadlines as the college follows a rolling admission policy.

Corpus Christi College International Admissions

International applicants are invited to apply for Corpus Christi College’s post-secondary programs. Applicants are required to fulfill both the general admission requirements and country-specific requirements. Therefore, they are advised to check these requirements prior to apply for admission.

General Admission Requirements

The general admission requirements for international applicants vary according to their previously attended institution.

  • International students graduating from a Canadian institution:
    • English language standards.
    • English placement test, if applicable
    • Minimum GPA of 67%
  • International students graduating from a foreign institution:
    • Authorized diploma of a secondary school
    • Official transcripts along with certified English translations

Country-specific Admission Requirements

As stated, each international applicant has to meet the country-specific requirements of the college. To give applicants some idea, the admission requirements for Indian applicants are given below:

  • For secondary school graduates:
    • Grade B2 or above on all 4 core CBSE subjects.
    • Submission of All India Senior School Certificate awarded by CBSE or Indian School Certificate awarded by CISCE.
  • Copies are accepted if authorized by school principal or counselor
    • Official transcripts and their English translations.
    • English proficiency test score
  • For local university graduates:
    • Minimum 60% or grade B on any 4 UGC courses.
    • Official university transcript

English Language Proficiency Requirements

Since English is the medium of instruction at Corpus Christi College, international applicants must demonstrate a minimum level of English. For this, applicants must meet the score requirements for any one of the following tests.

Study Permit for International Students

As per the laws stated by IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Canadian Citizens), all international applicants are required to apply for a study permit to pursue studies at a Canadian institution.

To receive the study permit, applicants require the following documents:

  • An acceptance letter from the university/college
  • An identity proof i.e a valid passport
  • 2 passport size photographs
  • Proof that applicants can support themselves financially.
  • Letter of explanation (This will help the visa officer understand your intentions for going to Canada)

Presently, Canada is offering the Student Direct Stream to the legal citizens of a few countries (China, India, Philippines, and Vietnam). Through this, the applicants belonging to these countries can receive their study permits within 20 days. To be eligible for this, applicants are required to-

  • Submit proof of first-year tuition fee payment
  • have a GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificate) of 10,000 CAD
  • submit the report of medical exam
  • Complete police verification
