  • The second year of the program consists primarily of off-service medical and surgical rotations.
  • The trainees will rotate on different services including anesthesiology, internal medicine, general surgery, intensive care, and other electives.
  • The third and fourth years of the program are spent on the oral and maxillofacial surgery service where the resident will assume increasing responsibility for the overall care of all in-patients and out-patients.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

  • Candidates for this program must possess a DDS or DMD degree or the equivalent and be eligible to obtain a limited dental license from the Ordre des dentistes du Québec. (A limited license can be issued by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec without prior testing of French language competency.)
  • A GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0 is required to apply for Applied Science in Biotechnology program at McGill University.
  • The candidate must have completed a year of internship or a general practice residency or equivalent prior to commencing the program.
  • The candidate has to be certified in ACLS prior to starting the program.

Indian Student Eligibility:

  • Indian students need to maintain an overall average of 60% in each year.
  • The minimum GPA required is 3.2/4.0 or students must have B grade in their degree.

Along with the minimum eligibility requirements, international students hailing from non-English speaking countries need to prove English proficiency through IELTS/TOEFL/any equivalent test.
