My journey in "Vancouver Island University".

    8.0 /10

I had heard about this university from one of my cousin sister whose friend had completed her bachelors from here. The admission process was quite simple here, I just need to submit all of my essential documents on time after applying online here. My cost of application was $120 for one course. My academic score in 12th was 94% and also I performed well in my matriculation.

    Course Curriculum :

My course duration was of four years. In my course curriculum, I had been given training in applied computer and educate them in the social, ethical and legal implications of computer. Apart from theoretical aspect of my course, I had learned multiple programming languages, advance algorithm and data structure. I started coding in my fourth semester and over the time I was able to score above average on codersrank site.

    Exams :

I opted for GMAT and IELTS examination, in which i had achieved 672 and 7.0 respectively. My batch strength was 21 and my credit score was 122. Now coming to my study work visa, I consulted from a private agency which helped me through out the process and before entering here I got my permit. I had submitted two recommendation letters issued by the teachers of my school.

    Placement :

The job opportunities were quite good here as I used to work as a delivery boy and my working time limit was 20 hours per week. About my placement, I had been selected as an software developer in Paypal during my final year. Although i got an internship in amazon but couldn't placed there. But paypal was an awesome company for my initial start and I got $55000 as my annual CTC there.

    Events :

There were many festivals celebrated here but holi was my favorite festival among all celebrations.

    Faculty :

My faculty members and lab assistants were very energetic and dedicated towards their work. Qualification wise all of them had a PhD in their respective field. The way they used to teach me was extra ordinary. I had always one on one interaction with my professors in class session. In fact most of them lived near by or in campus premises.

    Hostel :

I opted for in campus housing, which was near by main campus. Few walk steps away there was a student library. A number of restaurants were there along the way to main campus. My accommodation fees was around $13000 per annum including my meal expenses.
