Review by international student
As Sheridan is among the top 5 colleges in Ontario. So I was desperately wanted to get admission in this. And it is the only college that provides an environmental course covering most subjects. I have done masters in biotechnology at my back home, India. I have a year of experience as Qc Microbiologist at food safety and drug laboratory.
I have done masters in biotechnology and wanted to do an environmental course. So I chose this course. And moreover, this course covers all the environment-related subjects which can be beneficial for me to gain knowledge and work in different environment firm or environment consultancy. As being an environmental technician or coordinator a person should have the knowledge and this course provides that knowledge.
Fees compared to other colleges is high. At Sheridan for scholarships student must be meet the criteria. Student supposed to submit the proof of financial need and family status. The student must be achieved above 3 GPA to get the scholarships. And if the student is really in need of financial aid he or she must submit proof and then college will help them.
Off-campus, as college campus is costly and being an international student I can not afford this cost. Plus I am vegetarian and college campus does not cover a meal. I have to pay extra for the meal. And off-campus I can find room within my budget.
It's pretty good. It depends on the student how they give the interview. As I have seen that there are many companies arrives to offer a job. And if a student scored good academics in their 1st sem or mid-term they might get the chance to give the interview.
Yes, my college and course offer the internship opportunity. Currently, I am interning as Staff Reporter at Hazmat waste magazine. For an internship, students must achieve good academic in the midterm and 1st semester.
