Cegep Marie (Victorin)
My experience in Cegep Marie (Victorin)
Considering the level of competition in today's society, accounting and management seems to have a bright future. Thus, I did some research on the best colleges for the degree and here I am. Cegep Marie (Victorin) is one of the best I could ever find and has exceeded all my expectations. I applied for the course through a common application form.
My course is divided into 6 semesters and focuses both on knowledge and physical education. We are taught in a very organized manner and there is no exhaustion at all. Focus is paid on accounting, sales, import & export, auditing, project management, and taxes, etc. As an additional language, French is also a part of the course.
Since I am an international student I was required to submit the English proficiency scores. Thus I took the ILETS exam and scored 7.5 bands overall. Attestation of college studies, post-secondary results, and transcripts were also submitted by me.
My tuition fee is around $6000 and I availed a loan for that with the help of college itself. The college also offered a 10% waiver for my fee due to merit in the scholarship exam. Overstaying and other expenses amount to around 2000$ every year. But it's all easily covered with the help of part-time jobs.
I live in the off-campus apartment with 3 more friends which we have taken on rent. It's like a few minute's walk from the campus. The rooms are well furnished. For food, we are served both vegetarian and no - vegetarian dishes. And for it, I pay around $350 a month.
Before getting selected in the renowned companies that visit my campus, we are provided with the separate training. We are provided the skills required to crack the interview as well as to maintain the portfolio.
The college not only excels academically but also motivates us to participate in cultural and sports events. Apart from celebrating festivals with each other, the college also conducts various conferences, seminars, and inter-university competitions and thus exposing us to much wider competition.
Monthly Expense : $200 - $500
