I wanted to study abroad so I consulted a study abroad consultancy. They helped me to apply to various universities. And apparently I was selected in two universities. Between them, I chose to study at the University of Waterloo. I had applied for it through a common application form.
With endless options and electives, my program gives me an option to study a tailored curriculum. It is varied and interesting enough to be studied. I am also getting skills like Advanced Functions, Calculus, and Vectors.
The growing opportunities in computer technology made me take it as a profession. And working in a leading technology company is my other goal. To study in Canada I took the TOEFL exam and scored 95 marks. I also submitted my schooling records, secondary school transcript, high school transcript, and letters of recommendation.
Some of my classmates and I got a chance to intern at Microsoft, Facebook, Google, and Shopify. Some of us were lucky enough to convert the internship offers into the placement one.
I paid around $54500 for the first year tuition fee. Also, the payment of $2290 was also made for the books and supplies. There are many scholarships offered by my university. Some of them are President's Scholarship of Distinction, President's Scholarship, and Merit Scholarship.
My professors are very good and they have a deep understanding of the subjects they teach. All of them are pushing the boundaries of the field to make us successful.
After taking admission to the university I decided to stay at the on-campus accommodation. Since it is always in demand, I did not get it. So as of now, I am staying in off-campus accommodation. It cost me approximately $1500 - $1800 a month that also includes the food charges.
