Jaya garg at Sheridan College
My mother is an eminent TV anchor in India and I always look up to her. I really like the way she speaks in front of the camera and how she represents herself in front of the camera. Thus I too decided to follow her footsteps. So I applied to the various colleges in Canada that offer Advanced Television and Film course.
My course is a combination of practical, technical, and creative aspects of television and film studies. It also provides a direct, industry-relevant experience to me. With the help of this course, l will develop my creativity while gaining the specialized skills that I require to bring ideas and vision to life on the screen.
I always wanted to pursue this course. So I opted for it. To study my course in Canada I had to appear for the English proficiency exam. I gave the IELTS exam and secured an overall score of 6.5. By submitting my official and unofficial transcripts my application form was completed.
I paid $31000 as my tuition fees for three academic terms. Besides my college offers over 600 Academic Awards to those who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement. Various Bursaries are also available to be availed.
The off-campus residence worked the best for me. Every month I paid an amount of $1000 as the living expense. For the food and grocery expenses, I paid approximately $300 a month. The traveling charges were up to $200.
The event that I attended was the Creative Campus Design Talks. It was hosted by Ryan Moore. He discussed his ideas on how to create data-rich models through the use of dynamic components.
Monthly Expense : $200 - $500
